  1. Awesome man Thanks that pretty much explains it all.... Im going to play with the switch tommrow to see if I can get it to work before I call the dealer in Vancouver Cause Im sure its more money in canadian funds.....
  2. Hey So I thought I would try to jump the 2 wires that go into the latch and bingo the light turns on.... I finally got the courage and closed the front trunk and it releases now almost perfect from inside the car so i dont think its the cable after all.... I just had to throw grease all over..... so any ideas what to look for on the latch to trigger the trunk light ?
  3. Thanks for the Diagrams and Instructions After inspection it appears that the cable is connected, you can only get the front hood open if you Yank the hell out of the fender and have someone lift up on the hood.... I was then thinking ....is it the lock it self ..... I simulated a hood closing by pressing down on the brass tooth, I then had someone pull on the switch and I can see the other Tooth retract and the main tooth does not want to move up when it is released... So I soaked it with some silicone lube and it seems to be working but it sometimes it still gets stuck....any ideas... I can see 2 bolts holding it down but I dont want to remove that for no reason without asking you guys.... Also the front trunk light does not turn on.... is that build into the switch somehow.....
  4. I can feel tension when I pull the lever. What is the level of difficulty to take the drivers sill apart? Thanks for the reply.
  5. Hello I have a 1999 Boxster, its the regular model. My problem is the front trunk, it wont open I can use the secret under the wheel well and if i Pull on the cable it works but I cant do that in public...... Any ideas? 12. Hello I have a 99 boxster with the litronic headlights I have a problem with the passenger side. The turn signal and the day time running light do not want to turn on. I switched the bulbs with the other side and they work. I also used a tester and they light up so I guess it has to be something with the wires. Everything else works on the headlight unit like the Xeon bulbs. the Regular highbeams ect. anyideas? does someone have a wire diagram of the headlight ect so I can maybe see what all of these wires do... Thanks! Greg
  13. Thank you for your input I orderd the 2 for $99 as that is really cheap when compared to the dealer saying 360 plus tax................ for one! Ill know in a week or two how they look but as long as it is kinda close that is good for me. -Greg
  14. Is there a part number for D2S in General Electric ?
  15. Hello everyone I hope that this is the right area for this but Im new here. My dad and I just got a 1999 Boxster. Man this car is so awesome. We got great deal on it. One owner fully maintainted ect..... However when we got home as we had to go to a city to find this we realized that somewhere along the way one of the light bulbs burnt out. This car has the littronic headlight system setup from the factory so the lights are that cool looking color. I figured ok no problem is a light bulb......Wrong no one in the small town we live in carry it. The auto parts store could not even help us. We called down to Vancouver (Canada) Which is 600km away and the Dealership said that the bulbs are 360 Canadian plus tax..........WOW I pulled both headlights to make sure it was the bulb and for sure it was burned out as one of the bulbs was black in the middle I wrote down these numbers off the Bulb D2S 35W/E 85123 I Looked on Ebay to hopefully save alot of money and I see that there is a few sellers on there and its a good price. The Bulbs look the same but they are D2S 35W/E 85122 I guess it could work but I dont want to waste my time only to waste even more money..... Has anyone here replaced the littronic bulb with the 85122? Is the color different? Thank you for looking Greg
