  1. Hi all, I havent used my car for a few weeks and it seems that on braking there is a slight pulsation on braking - I assume that this is due to some build up on the rotors when the car was stationary. Is this permanent or will it slowly wear away any build up as I drive the car a few miles (done about 8 since I noticed it) Thanks for the help! Cheers Anthony 03 C4S
  2. Hi all, Had a blow out of one of my rear tyres on the freeway on the weekend and the tyre unwound - a new 18" sport techno wheel is $950 from (sunset imports) with my dealer quoting a ludicrous $2100! My question is has anyone had used Alloy wheel Repair Speacialist a franchise wheel repairer? - they are taking a lookk at my wheel today for repair - or they can get me a refurbished one for $200. I get the sense my dealer uses they to update refurb their wheel as they are letting him take a look at their premises (probably cosmetically). Anyone know of saftey issues on using a repair/refurb wheel vs a new one? Porsche Recovery also told me not to use the spare and to get a transport when it happened as it damages the sensors - anyone else heard of this issue?? Cheers Anthony 2003 C4S NY Seal Gray No Mods
  3. I am about due for that too - dealer in NY quoting $600 - all I can see from the check list is Oil and Filter - the rest is just visual What is your quote? - I have a CPO warranty so sort of wondering whether its worth paying so they can see if there is anything that needs replacing
  4. Thaks for the answers - it was prestige porsche that quoted me that - I live in the city so might try manhattan motors for a quote next - although cant imagine its cheaper!
  5. My car is comig up to a Oil Change interval ($250!!) - the question I have is whether I should take it to a dealer I bought it from so they can nose around and see if there is anything that could be replaced under warranty - or take it to a different dealer Guess my question is do dealers who claim on warranty's that they have issued get penalised and therefore less willing to look for/fix anything that is covered under warranty? - or do other dealers have the reverse motivation? Cheers Anthony
