  1. Hi All, something strange happening on my MY99C2 Cab. This past week and very very intermitantly, my horn sounds when i come to a hard stop. Usually these stops are for avoiding something on the road. If i try to induce the sound by slamming on the brakes on a empty street to diagnose the problem...its ok. No work has been done to modify the brakes or horn. The only electrical work was for you basic stereo replacement with an additional amplifier in the trunk.

    Thanks for the input

  2. hey everybody the top has been working good since, but i notice the flaps have been slow if not opened can closed for a few days. dirty rails?separate resevoir?

also, my top will not function with the switch. i did try it with the door key and that works. all your hear is a click from the top when using the switch. the parking light brake is off when its up but turns all the lights/bulbs work before starting

    thanks pj

  3. Happy new year all! It sounds like I have developed a ne noise under the front of the car by the front wheels. MY99 C2cab when rolling on driveway and parking lot speeds, make a knocking/rattling noise by the wheels. My passenger felt it somewhere along the floorpan. The lugs are torqued and the shock towers cant be jiggled by had when car is jacked in the air. The noise comes and goes and some times more noisy obviouly when bumpy. Sorry for the vaugeness but hopefully someone out there can relate. Car has 71k on it.

    Thanks in advance!!!

    PJ

  4. ]MY99 c2 cab top has started just started to move very slow and make loud whining noises while operating. The windows operate at good speed and side flaps appear normal too. The deck lid and top opening and closing is where it seems to be the loudest and slowest. its almost as if something is putting a heavy strain on the mechanism. The top does operate from start to finish and vicde versa however much slower that in te past

Id appreciate any advice or experience in this...can this be fixed DIY?

    Thanks-Pj

  5. hey guys, my 99 c2 cab has started to randomly stall immediately after starting. the engine has been warmed but its too random to describe any other symptoms. all i can say is after trying to start it again, its appears to be fine. the car just had its 60k major service done and a recent alternator repair... ive seen a few owners that had been recommended to clean the throttle body...i would appreciate the feedback.
