  2. sounds like changing my cap ending in 00 is the way to go-thanks
  3. Loren, i take it you have do not have any traces of antifreeze fumes? could it be that the overflow has dripped on to hot parts in the engine compartment and any old residue would reactivate odors everytime it gets hot??
  4. was that smell you discovered only when warm or after a cold start? i have had a smell on cold starts, and there has been alot of residue along the top of the coolant overflow tank (WHITE COLOR) the coolant level hasnt dropped below minimum but it definately doesnt smell like oil. thanks pj
  5. thanks for the tip, i remember reading that there is a small bag f stoppers included. Looks like these were both pre-installed and just remove the proper one. Thats a great link for the install-thanks Heres my 2 cent contribution. Use a 5 gallon bucket to hold up the door panel while woking(keeps it clean)
  6. hi there!!! i just installed a new window regulator on a 99c2cab. it was noisy and i replaced it according to the helpful posts found here. everything went back as it should except for the window not rolling down the last inch into the door pocket. it closes correctly and is alligned when the door is closed. What did i forget? thanks pjg
  7. Hi guys, my MY99c2cab windows have squeeked for months. today the passenger window sounds like it knocking when the motor goes up and down. the symptoms fall right in line with the stuff described above. My question is if the biniding or fraying cable snaps, will the window be stuck in the postion or will it drop in the track? thanks PJ
  8. thanks for the update, ill pull the bushings out and check them out. for now i pulled the fuse, looks like im not the only one with the problem in the past. thanks
  9. Hi All, something strange happening on my MY99C2 Cab. This past week and very very intermitantly, my horn sounds when i come to a hard stop. Usually these stops are for avoiding something on the road. If i try to induce the sound by slamming on the brakes on a empty street to diagnose the problem...its ok. No work has been done to modify the brakes or horn. The only electrical work was for you basic stereo replacement with an additional amplifier in the trunk. Thanks for the input
  10. ive been developing a sound similar to a "movie attic door creeking" while turning the wheel at stopped or rolling speeds. i kept the car running and turned the drivers wheel with my hands and induced the noise. ps fluid? or nothing to worry about MY99C2cab-thanks PJ
  11. clutch was shot and had the RMS replaced. thanks for all the info and pricing comparisons. car is running excellent
  12. appreciate it. i havent bled the clutch fluid but from the slipping that happened after the pedal dropped, the disc maybe out. thanks
