Hi I have an early 987S without the TMC working. I believe i need a PCM update to achieve this. Ive got some update discs now. What is the procedure to update it?

Hi I have an early 987S and the seat belt warning sound never shuts up. It will go off when you stop but start up again as soon as you move. I had a loan car from porsche a 55 plate later model and that warning sound went off after a minute or so and didnt start up again. Is there a software update to do this? Where can I get it and how do you do it?

..it's the version with the nav DVD drive in the front trunk so must be PCM 2.1 so what you think, D.I.Y. software and ebay or expensive trip down to porsche? Cheers Dean Again, it will depend on the on both your hardware version and firmware version. It sounds like you have the newer hardware - so check you firmware version (described in the PCM manual) and then compare with the TSBs here. ..cool I'll take a look in the morning, compare and let you know, thanks for all your help!
