  1. I would not wait, the gunge and sand your going to allow back there can only cause problems
  2. Sound to me like the roof switch is in need of replacement, do you have a way of getting fault codes from the system ? something might have been recorded
  3. you need to see if there are some error codes logged. Sounds like AC control head.
  4. My dealer charged $840, rebuilt strut. only happened once and now at 120K
  5. OR.... it may even be that critters got under the car at the Valet Parking at Philly airport while one was in Europe for 12 days and ate the wiring to the left rear sensor. Hang on that's exactly what happened. 1 Hour labor and some wire to rebuild the damaged harness.
  6. error code 1767 indicates rear left level sensor but fault finding says recalibrate level first prior to replacing sensor, and that after sensor is replaced recalibrate level. Make DIY a little difficult
  7. When the check valve goes it does throw a code readable via Durametric. but mine was intermittent for a few weeks prior to the code appearing. Mostly had the problem after fill up with the engine running
  8. Oh the stories to be told about the captive rodents in the dash. There are many servo's (hamsters) and they tend to get noisy when the car is confused about what temperature it is trying to achieve. Turn up the stereo or learn to ignore OR spend cash at an indy, the dealers hate this job especially the lower ones
  9. 03/04/05 had some metal fatigue issues on some air struts. When the go they spray debris and the whole strut needs to be rebuilt. Its VERY rare. US $ 800. Jacking without turning suspension off does not cause this, done it loads of times. If you don't its more difficult to lift because the system can try to compensate. You bought an 03/04 you knew you were gambling
  10. It could be that the SW update was interrupted, if so the unit is not recoverable apart from by Becker maybe
  11. It is plug and play, if its wired right then it will just show up. Its the only thing that is on these cars
  12. I think its already been said here but at the first sign of trouble and your 04/05/06 think battery. It can get very wierd, I would rather they put a sign on the screen that says CHANGE THE bleeping BATTERY
  13. The buttons are part of the airbag and are not sold separately so if your out of coverage, deal with it or try to find a used wheel complete on ebay of the same color with a working set. OEM part is around $700
  14. your brake sensors have worn thru. They give very little margin for error before you get metal to metal, ie no brakes. The alarm is NOT a guess by a system
  15. Its normal now then. If the station broadcasts its call letters thats what will show. Some dont
  16. yup, even in Kent its a top end job, intake manifolds only
