  1. At my dealer there is basically 1 tech who is great at tires and he tends to do them all. They banned certain techs from using the Hunter.
  2. Mounting the tires can be a PIA, I have had them taken off and rotated 90 degrees on the same wheel and it cured it after RFB
  3. 1 - Brake Rotors 2 - Wheels need to be road force balanced
  4. So I take it this is not a dealer working on the car ? Your cooling pipes went, normal The T pipe on a TT should have been replaced at rthe same time (15 minutes job does not sound right to me) Has the mechanic even seen a Cayenne before is my question ?
  5. I was told that 03/04 MY had some QA problems on the struts, supposed to be pretty rare but it happened to me and I have only heard af a few more.
  6. Its rare that the release catch will go, if it does you can release from the inside with a LOT of effort. +1 on the battery
  7. You will have to purchase 2 VW euro converter cables, from almost any stereo shop even best buy carry them. As an alternative get a Mobridge unit and go digital. Both work, I have the FM Modulator in my car for Sirius for a while prior to getting a Mobdrige unit in my 04 For the Device (FM Modulator) try to get a Panasonic one, they work great but there a load of other ones out there.
  8. The developers don't update cars. I have heard of updates that have bricked the PCM because power was lost on the update.
  9. what you describe is very close to what all 04 S's mine included had from new, i thought all were sorted out by now. The DME unit had messed up software and multiple tries to fix it were made in the early days, some had multiple DME control units replaced. Some had transmission control units swapped. because its a software/firmware issue PIWIS will see no fault codes. I would get them to verify all the control units match in version numbers
  10. So the connection to the rear spoiler or the antenna itself is toast then, So RHD cars still have the dvd units under the right seat, interesting.
  11. I tried for a few years to get this to work. The main issue I had was the AUTO ON headlights, the instructions say to only switch the HID lights on when the engine is running due to the high starting power requirements. With auto on headlights as soon as you start the the engine in the right light conditions the lights come on and that shortens the life or kills the bulbs. I tried turning my lights to the full off position (most of the time I remembered) but even with the most expensive kits I was seeing failures way to often to make them worthwhile. I ended up switching back the the brightest halogens I could get my hands on. I made the decision when I purchased the car from new that I prefered the Air Suspension to the Xenons and have not regretted that, i would still not trade one over the other.
  12. Apart from shaking the car a bit I dont think so. Where did you see a GPS plugged into the back of the reciever ? I would pull and re seat all the plugs back there as a start. The actual reciever is under the rear spoiler, perhaps water got in
  13. I have seen that happen once in a while, it says 0 Satelites right ? I have had that for 30 minutes of so but it eventually comes back. I did fix it once by shutting the car of for 10 minutes, next time it came up right away
  14. you can also get $20 brake pads for a mustang, hardly a comparison
