  1. I have to have the airbag warning light reset so maybe i'll see what the tech has to say. Thanks for your excellent help as always.:notworthy:
  2. Does anyone know how to overide the computer so that it doesn't shut off my HID headlights? My vehicle didn't come from the factory with xenon headlights so I purchased DMM Tuning HID kit with error eliminators. The computer still intermittently turns off one or both headlights but at other times not. Any thoughts?
  3. Is the part number for the 2011 Cayenne S oil filter element 948 107 222 00? Have only been able to find it thru 2009. Thanks.
  4. :thankyou: Thanks again. I have installed PIAA halogens but they are not quite as illuminating but will have to do.
  5. Thanks for the info, I guess I will have to see if more info is forthcoming as this model is out longer. :thankyou:
  6. Can anyone tell me why aftermarket HID low beam headlights will not work in the new Cayennes? They come on initially for about a minute then they shut off with a dash warning to "check left (or right) dipped beams". Is there computer monitoring of the current flow to the headlights that indicates that lhe bulbs are 'not working'? The car didn't have factory xenons and retrofitting the factory units are cost prohibitive.
  7. Loren, I got the GT3 wiring harness and wired it up. Still get a check light for the rear spoiler brake light. Is there anyway the dealer can reprogram things to take out this annoying warning at each startup? Hmm... I wonder if you have the wrong harness? They should be able to check it with a PIWIS tester. Will try that. Thanks.

  9. Phillip, Thanks for the info; it is a rattle so I'll rest a little easier. Just got the last issue of Excellence in the mail yesterday and I'm not sure my pockets are that deep. The GT3 is my dream car as well and had to go thru a bit to get it but am extremely glad I was able to acquire one. Gary
  10. I am new to the GT3; now have a 2007 .The transmission seems noisy at idle in neutral but with the clutch in, the noise goes away. Is this normal or an indication that the throwout bearing is bad? Also what are the best and easiest mods to improve the hp? It has a Sharkswerks resonator bypass and sounds great but it doesn't add any hp and may loose a few as I have been told. Any input would be appreciated.
  11. Thanks, I was making it harder than it needs to be. Checked with my dealers parts dept and the harness only runs $52. Should have figured Porsche would have it covered. :D
