  1. There is a fiber optic loop running from device to device, if one of the connections is bad the circuit is broken and PCM says it cannot detect the systems. All the connectors need to be checked BUT the front seems the most obvious
  2. I have hear of this before. There is a slightly bad Fiber connection on the MOST bus or there is a kink in the fiber somewhere. I would bet the rear amp cdc connectors unless you removed the PCM for some reason, then I would check the plug in the back. :welcome: Please state your location - and perhaps someone here with a PST2 or PIWIS can check it for you.
  3. See above "Camshaft position in relation with crankshaft: this fault is common and is caused by a little extension of the timing chain, which is very long, and a small tolerance in timing. It is possible to move the camshafts independent to the crankshaft to reach the timing specifications again, however after checking for any wear on the chain, rails, tensioner, etc. Not a DIY job IMHO." that response is from a Porsche tech
  4. I assume you re selected which operation you want to occur an set it to the key your using. I think your car needs to be hooked up to PIWIS, on 03' comfort control modules were suspect.
  5. no once set it keeps it, Comfort Control Module stores it, any problems with seat position ?
  6. The changes are not dimming but 3 levels, try it in the dark, off 1 2 3 in rotation
  7. Can you confirm the message on the screen please ? you say it says "No Discs Available, not "No Changer available" just to be clear. If its saying no discs, I have seen that before a long time ago on one of the boards, if so the changer has to be replaced or repaired. I would try ebay for a replacement, OR buy a Mobridge unit and fit an iPod in its place. thanks, it has not worked since I purchased it last year. I just bought a new magazine but no go with that either.
  8. Not sure if it will be worth it, does your car have the fiber optics already in place ?
  9. The logbook feature is designed for off road use, it helps to remember your route and then allows the data to be dumped of to the laptop via infra red I forgot that even existed its so little used Sounds like you have the "logbook" feature, and are linking to the PCM via the IR port. Sorry but could you explain this properly to me.
  10. MY 03 shafts were bad, 04 they were improved/fixed, but some 03's in the system still got into 04's thanks for the info. I'm allready in contact with PST, so I will follow this route right now. I have seen their products, and many peoples from other platform are using it with reported succes, and also better timeslips. dont know if they will be able to make me a lighter one, since its an SUV and not a sport car, but who knows. I do have some questions, so please if anyone know the answer please write: in my PET file which has the 2006 update, I have found that there are 2 codes for the driveshaft itself: - 955 421 020 20 - cardan shaft 1246mm 03 - 955 421 020 21 - cardan shaft 1246mm -04 - which one is the one for the S model? - I do believe that both fits but which one I should choose if I had to order one since there aren't any TSB for this failure. - is there any difference in codes for newer models? or they share the same shafts? - and the last one: in the picture there isnt showed the picture of the Carrier Bearing that is dammaged? it isnt even on the shaft. thanks.
  11. Do a search on the board for coolant pipes, I dont think there is a tsb just a part improvement
  12. I am not sure but I think Euro build should work when the maps are inserted.
  13. its major reconstruction but I am sure it could be done given the $
  14. Craig, Happy New Year I would like the suppliers details Anything left to take pictures of ? Mike
