  1. Whats the amp rating of the fridge ? don't Fosters make and adapter ;-)
  2. Also you might want to look here if your really interested http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/show...eferrerid=14620 I know we can post pics in registry but I just thought this would make it easier to view many cayennes on one post w/o having to hunt and click on different members. Sorry, just trying to see many cayenne's easily. :renntech: A little know feature of the Registry is the Search feature. If you choose Search Registry from the left hand navigation menu in the Registry it will give a search selection. In this case you would select (checkbox) Make - then choose Cayenne from the drop down list. Click on perform the search and you will get a list of all Cayennes in the Registry and there will be a picture icon next to the ones with pictures. Just another way to see pictures here.
  3. 1 - yes, this is designed to warm up the cats 2 - Dont know, need specific error codes 3 - Dont know 4 - Sounds like your car never had all the software updates it needed, dealer has TSB's related to such behavior, contributing members can view them here also
  4. There is a magnetic field sensor package which I think is installed under the rear seat (955-642--23-00) The option is not software activateable without that hardware.
  5. Well done next time you are doing bat stuff take a picture tho for us non nocturnal people
  6. Not really, a PIWIS should be able to see it if you have a friendly dealer. if you can get one for 200, it might be worth a try
  7. I have not heard of this before so cannot help SWF ?
  8. Either the AC controller is gone or the servo motors that side are gone. Hope you have a warranty
  9. There is no battery where you indicate Primary battery is under drivers seat, if fitted, a secondary battery is under the sub woofer in the trunk (03/ early 04 only ) ??? I know of only one battery, the one up front just ahead of the windshield... Also, isn't there a caveat about the radio and it's code?
  10. I have seen this question a lot. No one has successfully touched it up and end up getting a new bag eventually
  11. bad design of the servos (VW) and overly complex AC Thanks for the quick response. This had gone away for some time and has now returned. This makes me wonder if there are updated parts for this (like the ignition coil problems) or will the dealer simply install the same "old" parts? Any word from Porsche about this in the history of these vehicles? What is it exactly that is happening inside there that makes this noise? Sweet hamster love? Poor part design?
  12. I had a similar issue. The lower footwell vents were not coming on. They replaced the aircon controller and that fixed it.
  13. You will find that the hamsters take a rest from time to time but they always come back. You get used to it Thanks for the quick response. This had gone away for some time and has now returned. This makes me wonder if there are updated parts for this (like the ignition coil problems) or will the dealer simply install the same "old" parts?
  14. An Air equipped car is a totally different animal from a sprung car, may not be possible.
  15. Good luck but you are talking about it as if its a discrete component problem. You would be better to look at the height sensors on the struts to physically move them.
  16. I think its part of the DME program, a timing issue on the transmission valve body Just wondered what number 5. is????
  17. Over here I was told that the dealer had a hand tool to realign the arm angle, the arm needs to be twisted slightly, only a few degrees.
  18. The dvd is mounted under the passenger seat. Regard the fibre as a loop from device to device, the MOST system autodetects the devices (legal devices). My guess is that you plugged in the fibre and now its telling you that you do not have a complete circuit The other plug on the back of the DVD unit is for the Antenna which you most likely dont have (I could be wrong). So you need to get the fibre loop to the passenger seat and install and run cabling from the rear spoiler (where the antenna mounts) to the passenger seat I am sure I saw a Nav install TSB at one point
  19. You can access the TSB's which include a phone prep parts list and install instruction by becoming a contributing member to this site. An update for others, I have installed the PCM2.1, and have to tell that its just plug&play, but for some reasons the TFT is fadding so I have to pull it out and order a new TFT for this unit :). In a few days I will have an almost new PCM unit :). I will make a full thread with pictures an how to do it and what do you need in order to repair the faulty PCM units, also the PCM2. Hey Mike, I have found something interesting: my car has the cables for the GPS antenna INSTALLED!! I have changed the rear door lifters, and i have found the cables up there :) , how about that :) also, the first thing that I want to do and use of it will be to get the phone working, so can you or someone please post a descripition of what I have to get in order to run the Phone, I mean the part numbers of the Antenna and wires, a picture would help a lot - Becker/Harman - I dont know how many peoples know but MANY MANY parts are interchageble with other cars, since the producer is the same on many cars. for instance the TFT display itself is the same for: BMW Z4&X3, BMW Profesional from E46, X5, E39, Audi all RNS, some VW, Mercedes C class, Opel Astra H, Vectra, called the CID system, and many others. I will test the DVD unit from another more popular car in here, cause that one look almost the same, and has same connectors, and its mede by the same producer. thanks.
  20. There is a good chance its already been replaced, and the symptoms are fairly obvious. Low frequency vibration about 40 mph and up. If you want to listen for it, say the word " wummeerring 3 times and thats the harmonic. Without the sympton they will not change it out as it was not a universal problem. Also ask them to perform all outstanding workshop actions and TSB's by VIN Good luck
  21. All of these are know warranty issues, all need to be fixed. Are you under warranty ? if so push hard DME reflash New steering column New tailgate Stuts re angle wiper arms coolant pipes (maybe engine out) replace PCM many $$
  22. Not sure if you can but they are being done, Gert of Carnewal in Belgium had a post somewhere about one they did = &&
