  1. I was told by 2 local tire shops that they could NOT align my 02 Boxster because they needed the Porsche tool to reset the steering wheel sensor after alignment. If I heard this from just one place I would have blown it off, but the same info from 2 places, they must know what they are talking about.
  2. Has anyone with litronics lowered their Boxster with H&R springs and does the auto headlight control continue to work?
  3. Just want to know if factory litronic AHVC (auto headlight vertical control) will work after installing lowering springs to drop the car approx. 1-1.5". If it does not work, how will the litronic headlights know where to shine, or is there a default setting that they will stay at. Thanks, Jerry
  4. The control box located on the lower control arm that shifts the headlights when braking etc., will not work when the car is lowered without changing the length of the control arm to the sending unit. Can you tell me what you mean. My car was lowered when I bought it and has factory litronic option, but the low beams do not lower and raise when turned on nor do they raise when high beam is turned on. I assumed there is a problem and was going to look into it this winter. Is this what you mean by "they will not work when the car is lowered" and will they just magically start working again if I return the car to factory height which is what I plan to do because the only thing that was changed was the springs and I have obtained factory original ones.
  5. Could you tell me what the paint code was that your painter used for the interior pieces and do they match the existing silver interior pieces. Thanks, Jerry
  6. Thanks for the information, I will have a new regulator on order today. Jerry
  7. I am have the problem that the drivers side window only lowers a couple milimeters when opening the door. This is enough that the window does not hit the rubber on the top, but I want to address the problem on mine timing and not the cars. I can push the window down to the correct location and have researched on this forum that this is a regulator problem. My question is what goes wrong with the regulator? It appears to be no more than cables that guide the window up/down keeping it straight in the track. wouldn't this problem be more related to the motor/gearbox. I just want to be sure to order the correct part to fix this problem without having to disassemble the door 2 times.
  8. I am looking for the part # for the rubber piece that has a nut molded into it that sits in a hole and secures the right and left plastic pieces above the battery and cabin air filter. These have a long torx head screw that screws into them and squishes the rubber by pulling on the nut to secure these covers. For a 2002 Boxster. Thanks
  9. Mine is a USA car 2002 Boxster S and the sticker states options 601 (litronic headlights) and 288 (headlight washer). I just checked and the lights come on in the forward position and do not raise from a lowered position. When the brights are turned on the litronics are in the same area as the bright beam, but they do not seem to move when the brights are turned on/off. Does this mean something is "broke" or that they are not auto leveling?
  10. Just a curiosity question. Are all factory installed litronics auto leveling (option code 601). I've also read on this forum that auto leveling lights start in the down position and raise to the level position. Is this true or just a perception because it takes a short time for the litronics to build a charge to ignite. Thanks
  11. Yet another car missing the radio code. I am going to unhook the battery to install the original steering wheel/airbag and do not have the radio code. Also, I would like to know if there is a way to verify that the code is correct without having the radio locked. Radio is: Becker 1 type: 4462 Serial number: 15005578 Boxster S 2002 Thanks,
  12. I am curious to know if the airbag warning stickers are available to order without purchasing the entire sunvisor on an 02 Boxster S, anf the part #s if possible. It appears each visor had 2 stickers, one on the visor itself and the other on the mirror cover.
