  1. The handbrakes are available on ebay from those that upgraded to carbon fiber for relatively cheap. MACarbon has instructions on how to remove only the cover without a full console disassembly. Randall
  2. Let me re-ask this. Can gauge faces be removed easily? If so are the Speedometer, tach, and tem/fuel gauge faces on a 987 the same as the corresponding on a 997? I can get a white face cluster really cheap and swap the faces if this is possible. Someone has to know this. Randall
  3. Two part question, and perhaps a stupid idea, but if one purchased a set of gauges from a 997 instrument cluster can the faces be removed easily? And would the 997 speedo, tach and temp/fuel faces be a direct replacement for 987 gauge faces? Randall
  4. I just got my PSE installed today and it sounds great! Plugged the vacuum lines so no dirt in there, but hey, I will never fully wire it in. Well worth what I paid for the exhaust and installation. Not connected vacuum line=Loud(ish)! Randall
  5. That is what I thought, and I will skip the DME integration and keep it in sport mode at all times (and skip the trip to the dealer) Thanks! Randall
  6. If you add the PSE to your Boxster and do not have it integrated, do they need to do any ECU reprogram for it? Or is that only if it is fully integrated? Randall
  7. That is what I was really concerned about, was a true mismatch of components. I was really trying to not go to a coilover type suspension for this, just a .75" drop in ride height through the easiest means. Thanks for the input and confirming one of my concerns. Randall
  8. I probably need to compare ride heights side by side. I just know that if I go more than 1" I will scrape the front end every time I pull into my garage. Thanks for the thoughts. Randall
  9. I am looking to lower my Boxster slightly and I am not sure that the H&R or Eibach options are what I want as they are greater than 1" lower, and I need to clear an incline to get to my garage without scraping the front too much. I know that the PASM springs lower the car about .5" (10mm) and that is a better height, but are the spring rates not really a good match to the standard suspension? Any ideas (and the part numbers for the PASM springs)? Randall
