Well...nearly five weeks to the day it died I got my car back. New engine isntalled. Drove it once over two days and battery died. I guess sitting around 5 weeks on the dealer lot was not such a great thing. Dealer has replaced battery for free. Should be good to go now. Fingers crossed.

I agree with you. The engine stopping so abruptly oin the highway was scary at best. Luckily it was the right lane and 5:30 AM. Not sure about resale value but it can't hurt.

The new motor will now make yours the perfect car. Congrats. How many miles on your '05 C2? 36K when I bought it...drove it a grand total of 320 miles before it stopped In shop nearly three weeks. Will take at least 10-14 days I think before I see it again.

I emailed dealer asking for codes...I will post when I get them. thanks no codes yet...but atlanta got back to them and said look into a bad "cam sensor"

My 05 base carrera suddenly stopped running. The techs at the dealer tell me they can't make sense of the codes they are getting from the computer. They are sending the info to the corporate office. If this was an IMS failure would they be able to read this off the codes? Any other possibilites? thank you
