  1. Hi all,

After upgraded red calipers & and ROW M030, I have all these parts left in my garage. I know I can put the OEM SILVER (C4) calipers on ebay to get some money but no ideal how much. Do people buy old OEM suspension?

Question is, should I sell all these parts? I don't think I will put them back into my car, or it's not worth it.

I want to ask people before I put on the ebay or the for sale section, thanks.

  3. I was told late 04 and all 05 models are prewired. You can check the rear pessager side compartment and see if you have two set of wires hanging. I think one is for power/control and the other one is the fiber optic. When ignition on, I saw a red light at the end of the fiber optic if no CD changer connected. You might have the CD changer bracket as well. My 05 also has the mounting bracket preinstalled and the CDC-4 kit for Cayenne also came with one.

If the Cayenne is prewired, should take around 3 hours for installation.

  4. Not "the" hestation but a stutter like 2 cylinders not firing at all for short periods. Now if you get both at the same time, thats interesting :( it happened to me once. :censored:

They have to disassemble to see the cracks.

I don't know is it the same hastation as everyone talks about. When it happened, it felt like lost power when try to accerate while at cruising speed, specially when lane changing.

  5. After all the hard work, I enjoyed the CD changer for 2 days and it went dead. First CEL came on for no reason, then the next day the PCM showed no cd changer. I thought I might have screwed something during the installation. I checked and found no scratch or break on the cable. I scheduled an appointment and brought it to the dealer and they found the CDC-4 was defected and replaced it for me in warranty. The CEL had nothing to do with the CDC-4. The CDC-4 was bought brand new from the Porsche dealer, and I should get used one the first place from ebay and save me few hundred dollars. I endup with a reconditioned one anyway.

  6. I finally have the CD changer put in over the weekend. For me, it was impossible to do it right without help from other members of renntech. With the right directions and tools, I only broke one clip holder and was able to fix it with a gluegun. Thank you again for all the help.

In additional, my CS is 2005. I didn't have to activate the MOST for the CD changer. The unit works right after the two connectors plugged.

  7. Thanks for the quick reply Tool Pants. I've thought to try another changer too but didn't know anyone with one so I took the car into the dealer to see what they could do. Unfortunately, that dealer did not have a spare changer and was unable to tell me if my changer was defective. I'll try another dealer but in the meantime, I've read in some forums that the dealer needs to 'activate' the changer. Is this only for fibre optic MOST systems trying to retrofit certain changers?

    Thanks again!

If you are in sf bayarea, I have a spare CDC-3 you can test. Opps, I just found out you are at Australia, never mind.
