  1. I just installed the EVO MS Air Intake kit on my 2005 CS. Had to cut one end of the hoses a little to smooth out the bends. Also in the instructions they forget to tell you to remove the air boxes from the snorkels before taking them out, still, no big problem. Satisfaction overall? Very satisfied! It completely eliminates the 5th and 6th gear hesitation. Kick down is immediate and at 60MPH you will go down to 4th. It holds its gear a little longer under hard acceleration - note: I have PASM and usually drive it in Sport Mode. From 4000 RPM and higher the sound can only be described as a deep V8 growl that grows into a loud HOWL as you accelerate. More power? I feel more power from about 4000 RPM, and 85MPH comes up much quicker. I had my wife drive it and she wanted to know what I did to give it so much of a boost. Next mod will be the cat bypass pipes. I will follow-up with results.
  2. I am looking at the EVO MS kit for my Cayenne S. Others have talked about just changing the filters to BMC or K&N
  3. I forgot. I too had the 4x4 Fault Workshop message. My 955 is from Florida and when this happened the outside temp was -24C here in Montreal and only 3 days after I bought it. Took it to the dealer and it turned out to be a dying battery. Apparently the system shuts down components like this when the battery is about to die...
  4. 255\50\18 Nokian Hakkapeliitta RSi is what I have on this winter. Check out this article: http://www.canadiandriver.com/winter/tires/hakka_rsi.htm. I tried to get stuck here in Montreal in the storm we had this past Saturday. The one time it got hairy (getting into an unplowed entrance through a 30" deep snowbank), I raised the suspension to Special Terrain and engaged reduction (locked the front and center differentials) and got myself out with no problems. I drove a 2004 Explorer for a year on Goodyear M+S tires and never had to lock the diff. It was fine in the winter. During a company required advanced driving course I did 6 slalom runs with it. To this day I still wonder how people flip them over... Still, an Explorer is miles away from a Cayenne!
  5. Does anyone know if I can order just the driver's side interior door pull without the armrest? My interior is Stone Grey and the door pull looks terrible with grime and scrapes\scratches. I've tried cleaning it but noting works. The rest of my interior looks like new.
  6. I might be interested... I also want to go with the EVO MS intake. Talk to me about your experience?
  7. I will try the EVO intake first, then the cat bypass, then try a Revo demo flash that lasts 5 hours before I buy it. I was already looking at lighter wheels. I like the Konan's that use the Porsche center caps but the Victor Equipment wheels are probably a better investment... Any ideas? I have air suspension so 22" wheels would look really nice.
  8. I have a 2005 CS and want a bit more grunt too. So far, the only backed up claim I have seen is from EVO Motorsports. They have a dyno-tested air intake system that gives 10-12hp. I will probably try that first, then the 2nd cat bypass, then an exhaust, and finally a chip upgrade. I will also give a progress report as I go, including observed gas mileage before and after.
