  1. I had some work done on my 1999 Boxster by a local mechanic and he disconnected the battery and I don't have the code card anymore. I tried to guess a few times and now it says "wait" on the screen. How do I get the "wait" off the screen and enter the code (and what could the code be). Thank you in advance. This car has been a nightmare lately and I am really tired of throwing money at it. This is by far the greatest site ever and thank you to everyone on here. You have all been great. 2. I have a 1999 Boxster 2.5L that revs up to 3000 rpms when taken out of gear and then settles back down to idle. When the car starts out it will start out fine (drives and shifts fine). But as you slow down for a stop and press on the clutch to take it out of gear the engine will rev to 3000 rpm and then settle back down to a normal idle. If you leave the car in gear while stopping and wait till the rpms get down to 800 before taking it out of gear it doesn't rev up and it acts normal. Has anyone ever had this problem or have any ideas for a fix for it. I am not good with cars and have most of my work done by a local mechanic but he is somewhat stumped by this problem. I recently had a new ECU put in if that may have anything to do with it. Thanks in advance for any help. This is my first post (and I'm typing it at work in a hurry) so please be forgiving of my poor description.
