  1. Hi everyone, I have been reading lots of posts about aftermarket head units and speakers but I haven't found quite what I am looking for. I installed the Alpine IDA-100X and the system sounds great! The problem is that although the deck has a separate subwoofer volume control, it isn't actually hooked up to my system. Apparently I need RCA connections directly from the Sub amp to the deck. From the wiring diagrams I have reviewed both from this site and Bose, it looks like there is a separate amp for the sub. Question - is the sub amp wired to the main amp via fiber or is it wired in a way that I might have it converted to RCA? Can I control the frequency at which the sub kicks in? Maybe on the sub amp? Thank you. Jeff

  3. I had the same problem on my Boxster (02) and ordered a replacement switch from Pelican for about $120. I found the DIY instructions on this site, replaced the part yesterday in about 20 minutes and everything works perfectly. Problem solved.
