  1. Thanks Loren! Outside of a shock leaking how can I tell it went bad? P.S. I have been looking for an excuse to go to a PSS9 setup but I want to cure the problem first
  2. I know this might sound a little off but should I check the front also? Could that have an effect on the rear?
  3. I posted this over at Rennlist but I thought I would throw it out here to see if I get a different response. I was getting on the freeway today and as I was accelerating the rear end started to wiggle or shimmy a little bit. I was doing about 80 and the on ramp has a sweeping right hand turn to it. I have felt this a little before but today it was more noticeable. A month ago I lowered the car with H&R's and put 19's on it. The wheels were balanced when I got them and the car has been realigned after the spring install. Any advice would be grateful A further description would be it started to bounce and wiggle at the same time :drive: :drive: :drive:
  4. Loren, I am having the same problem. Can I get a copy of these and also what epoxy should I use. I will send a pm also
  5. I am going to do the console delete on my 01 C2. Does anyone know the part number for the trim piece that surrounds the A/C unit when I move it to the upper console?
  6. Ok maybe this will help. Look at this post http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...=2532&hl=shocks Picture number 2 has a wire in a gromet on the strut. Right below that is my clip
  7. Front and it is on the blade in the rear of the strut right below the electrical wire that attaches to the caliper. they both clip onto the same blade. I would send a picture but I zipped tied them back on. Here is my diagram of it
  8. Front and it is on the blade in the rear of the strut right below the electrical wire that attaches to the caliper. they both clip onto the same blade. I would send a picture but I zipped tied them back on. Here is my diagram of it
  9. So I put in the B&M SSK and lowered the car this weekend(way to easy) and I broke to little plastic clips that hold the wire away from the strut. This wire goes from one side of the brake caliper to the other. Tried explaining it to my local p-shop but........ anyways it is a really small item but with out the part number I am up the creek. Any help would be greatly appreciated 01 C2 CAB
  10. Well I purchased the whole set up. Chrome bolts, wheel centers with center crest and the special socket to go with it. What the hell it is only money
  11. Didnt know the price of chrome went up!!! Those chrome bolt covers are looking really nice about now
  12. Is there a good place to purchase chrome lug bolts to replace the factory ones?? I just purchased new wheels and am in need of them. This is for an 01 Thanks
  13. Thanks Loren. And i just had the car in a couple of weeks ago for the coolant bottle. Oh well back it goes!!
  14. So I broke one of the tabs on the back of the glove box/console/armrest. Is there any quick fix (too small a space to try epoxy)or do I need to buy a new one. If I need to buy a new one does anyone know what the part # is??? Thanks 01 C2
  15. I just received my new H&R springs from Gert @ Carnewal. Does anyone have a good DIY guide to the install of these. I know for the rears I need to access the area under the top but for the rest???? Thanks 01 C2 CAB
  16. Really, I am 6-3 and don't have a problem in my 996. I even have a subwoofer behind my seat in the footwell. You must be a tall SOB
  17. I have been told by a car car specialist that NXT has silicone in it. RejeX has no silicone or teflon in its make up. They are different products in many, many ways. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> life use to be soooooo simple.... wash car, dry car, and use Turtle Wax. It even has its own applicator. :jump: :jump:
  18. Don't Laugh I really did. I thought maybe they f'ed up something while changing out the coolant tank and crap. But thankfully my Carrera logo is still there. But now it got me thinking to change my logo from black to color match and even go with a 911 instead of the Carrera
  19. oh that is really nice. Really upscale Porsche dealer. Techs must be highly trained. and the worst part is that my neighbor is the Service Manager. He wasn't home or I would have already dumped the trash in his GT3
  20. just got the car back from service(cracked coolant bottle They also replaced one of the light bulbs in the front. The one i would call the background light when you turn on the lights to parking. ) and i found(or they left)some trash in the car   :cursing: . One of the bags had a part number on it and i was wondering what was in it?? porsche part 955559038014w9
  21. Anyone have the part numbers for the older style skirts that fit an 01 C2 CAB. I want the one that have some flair(?) to them. Also, I have read the post on installing so i guess the OEM ones are the way to go. Any input would be great. Thanks Lance "Get out and drive or ride this weekend"
