  1. I just replaced my switch last night. Here are a couple of comments. 1. Make sure you move the drives seat as far back as possible before disconnecting the battery. 2. The Torx required to remove the screw under the light switch requires a long throat to reach that screw. 3. The screw driver required to loosen the set screws the hold the switch in the housing need to be a small bladed stubby screw driver. Hope that helps... Thanks for all the information...works like it should.
  2. I have oil in the coolant as well. Just discovered by the Porsche Dealer - 70,000 on a 2000 C4 Tip. So, my question is....how many miles do you get before the engine flys apart in a million pieces....or just overheats due to radiator blockage????
  3. I have a 2000 C4 Tiptronic 70,000 - Driven a couple times a week and local 200-300 mile trips - Looks like the engine needs to be replaced - oil in the coolant reservoir - reservoir also leaking. It has been a great car....now....it feels like a good friend has let me down. Dealer wants to replace the oil cooler but I am not buying it....I think its a cracked sleeve... Car still runs great...but its just a matter of time until the oil/water mixture fouls the radiators.
