  1. Okay, this is a strange one. I had my car (2003 C2) jacked up on the rear jack points to remove my mufflers. In doing this the opposite sides suspension is compressed a bit. I'm noting this as this is the only thing I can think of that could of caused this. I took it for a drive after and all was good. A little later, went for another drive, and the steering wheel was noticably off center ( aprox 3-3.5 inches to the left). I checked the suspension parts i.e. ball joints etc. The only thing I noticed was the passenger sway-bar link (drop link) needs to be replaced, it's pretty worn out. Would this cause this kind of alligment issue or should I look in other places? Thanks everyone!
  2. Thank you Loren for the quick reply! I'll be checking the code again tomorrow.
  3. Assistance Needed - CEL After Spark Plug Change 1999 C2 (standard) I changed my plugs and tubes 2 days ago, and the car has been running great. This morning, about 20 min into my drive I went to pass and the car sputtered a bit, and the CEL came on. Checked out the codes, P0134 which is the 02 sensor, and P0302 (cylinder #2 misfire). I checked all of the connections and they seemed to be okay. To trouble shoot, I took the #2 cylinder coil and moved it to #1. Took it for a test drive and had the same problem, sputtering when I get on it. Checked the codes again, and the same codes were noted. I then changed #2 spark plug, and the same problem. Would a bad o2 sensor have the symptoms of sputtering? My questions are : 1. Would a loose connection to the coil pack cause this (P0302 code)? 2. If the o2 sensor is bad would my symptoms be; sputtering when I get on it? 3. If the problem didn't follow the coilpack, would it be that I have a bad plug in #2? 4. Would the o2 going bad cause a fault with cyclinder #2, and or vise versa? Any help would be appreciated!!! Thank you!
  4. Front Suspension Question/Problem... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 99, C2, Stock Suspension, 44k miles: I have a strange problem with the front passenger side suspension. When going over a speed bump and or a pot hole it feels like the suspension is loose. This only happens in these two situations, when driving on a smooth road there is not a problem. There is zero vibration and the alignment is dead on. I had an indy shop (only services Porsche) take look at this. Everything checks out, bushings, sway bar, control arms, nothing loose or worn out. The shops conclusion is either the shock mount and or the shock it's self. Any one have any suggestion as to what else I can look for, and what the symptoms of a bad shock mount would be? And what to look for in a worn out shock mount. Thanks in advanced.
  5. I know this has been discussed but looking for a specific answer, and the posts out there are contradicting each other. I have a 99 C2 w/ 17 inch wheels, and would like to put Victor Equipment "Zehn" 18'. Per Victor Equipments web site (see below) this is what should fit. But after looking at an offset calculator, it looks like this would not fit (link below)???? Can any one help/explain. Thank You! 911 Carrera 1998-2004 996 Zehn 18x8 (ET45) 18x11 (ET55) Front: 235/35/18 Rear: 285/30/18 http://www.victorequipmentwheels.com/app_guide/index.php Offset Calc: http://www.wheelsmaster.com/rt_specs.jsp
  6. Do you have diagram for the vaccum line? I do not, would you happen to have that? Would that be in the general area of the coolant tank? If so, that may be what it is. I wouldn't have to remove the coolant reservoir to get to it would I? Thanks
  7. I just finished installing a new coolant reservoir (Thanks to Renntech!!!) and after cleaning up I found this under the car, does any one have a clue as to what this is. Thanks! 99 C2 Standard Trans
  8. Are the "DIN" connectors for the CDR-210 the same as the CDR-220. I was looking to swap mine out. 99' C2 ( with the M490 setup)
  9. 99' C2, 17' Stock Wheels, PZero Tires, 30K Miles I've noticed over the past few weeks the my car tends to track (car will follow ruts in the road). Is this normal for a Porsche (this is my first)? Or is there something I should look for in the front suspension? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.
  10. Can any one recommend an audio installer in Scottdale/Phoenix Arizona. If you have pictures of the installs that would be great as well. Thanks!
  11. I finally purchased a 1999 911 (dark blue metallic) with 30K miles, and love it! Great site guys!! I do have a question though....... -Oil pressure, what should it be at while driving? @ about 3000 rpm I'm running 4.5, and @ idle 2.4
