Where are you getting it repaired? I used Radpid Body Works (281-350-8200) in Spring. Only Porsche certified replace facility around. They did a very good job. In Texas you get to pick you repair facility don't let the insurance company push you around.

Do forget a large opening drain pan the will hold 8 plus qts. Walmart sell a 10 qts for close to $7 bucks.

You need to drive the car after you add the sta-bil to the gas. You need to get the sta-bil in the fuel lines and injectors for it to do it's full job.

Is the button all the way up when you are trying to lock it? You just might have some goo down in the push button area that is keeping it from poping back up. I would get the button working first before you try replacing it. Might spray a little windex or 409 cleaner on it and see if it clears up.

The microswitch has nothing to do with the lid not staying closed. The microswitch is for the alarm and the alarm only. There must be something wrong with the latch mechanism. Might look here for help.

Mythbusters said must cars will not let you go from drive to park at speed. So I would bet Porsche would want to keep you from doing this too.

I have got a 40th. I just cleaned some "tar" spot on my rims with acetone and did not have any issues. I have also use the mothers power ball and polish and it did an OK job.

Most people come to these forums to look for help or ideas about solving problems. So you will see a lot more negetive post then positive. So you have to look at the whole picture. How many people bought said model car, how many of those people found this forum, how many of those people even have access to the internet.

I know this may not answer your question but you have to weight all of this when you do get an answer.

It could be a bad injector or valve lifter (vario-cam + system). Use a PIWIS diagnostic tool to find out.

maybe the vario-cam system could be damaged but can it be only for one cylinder?

Yes it can be just one cyclinder. I had that same problem. Thank God it was covered under warranty. Some will say a fresh oil change might lossen it up. I heard there are special tools need to keep the cams in place.

Swap the coil pack with antoher cyclinder. If it follows then you found your problem.
