Hello,
We are working on a new product for the 997 cab, but as you may imagine, it is very difficult to get any information
from Porsche themselves, because they are not really interested in aftermarket products.
Just like in the past with smartTOP and remoteTOP we are on our own and dependent on test vehicles.
Luckily there were quite a few Boxsters and 996 cabs around, along with very helpful and enthusiastic
owners who supported us a lot during the development and testing phases.
Unfortunately the 997 is still so new and it's wiring completely different from 986/996 models, that
we have to find 997 cab owners who are interested in and willing to support another great aftermarket product.
If it sounds interesting for yourself or if you know someone else who might be interested, please contact
us by email (info@wilhelmy-it.com) or 24h hotline 619-3300901, we would be happy to discuss the possibilities, compensation and further details.
Best Regards,
Sven

As we do not need the diagnostic function, is there a way to get only the manuals and wiring diagrams from this system?

Wiring diagrams in paper form are not going to be released for the 987/997. They are electronic and accessed with the PIWIS.
Hello,
please tell me more about the PIWIS. I think it's an ONLINE system for the porsche dealers?

Hello,
I am searching for the complete wiring diagrams for the 987.
Unfortunately everything regarding the 986 and 987 has changed.
If you could help with some information please contact me!

All,
Does anyone know if the SmartTop works even if the handbrake light microswitch has failed? Just debating whether to bother replacing the switch or just install the SmartTop.
Thanks
Mark
Hello,
YES it will work, thanks for another nice sales argument!

Hi Jeff,
no button for the top??
That means, the USA 996 Cab Top isn't remote controlled??
I hear that for the first time, because here in germany there is a remote control for the top standard since 1997.

We would like to thank everyone who offered to support us.
We have finished our development phase so far and are now getting the marketable product ready.
