  1. Have you asked tire shop to pay for touch up by dealer? Yes, I did. They will send the wheels out and with the distance to the nearest proper wheel refinisher I'll be without my Cayenne for at least three days. So, for now I'll just touch them up until I can plan for them to be refinished.
  2. Anybody know the color code for the silver alloy wheels, mine is a 2004 Cayenne Turbo with the stock silver wheels that were scratched by tire shop. I can have touch up paint made but need to know the paint code.
  3. I had same codes and symptom. Turned out to be purge valve faulty. If your gas cap is good and no obvious leaks I'd look at the fuel tank ventilation system. Good luck. Thank you, I tried the gas cap and that wasn't it. When I called the dealer for a purge valve they said that it didn't have a purge valve and was more or less a metal piece of tubing that needed to get soldered into place to replace a faulty plastic piece. I'm also debating wheather I should do the 02 sensors?? This really sounds like a problem with the fuel tank ventilation. I'd check this before replacing o2 sensors. My indy apparently replaced the "purge valve" and I suspect there was something easily fixable as the labor charge was merely exorbitant.

  5. Codes came back, 2187 and 2189. I took car in where they diagnosed purge valve problem. part was cheap but diagnosis was not. Right before repair I noticed after filling up vehicle was hard to start so in hindsight I might have figured this out myself although I still think I would have had somebody else do the work.
  6. Yes, it's still gone after several long trips. I had checked the code with my generic OBD scanner which was able to speak Porsche. It allowed me to clear the code which had been recorded although the CEL had gone off after replacing the gas cap.
  7. Thanks!! We'll see if it was just the cap although I'm not holding my breath. Glad to have found this site!
  8. 2004 Porsche Cayenne Turbo. CEL was on steady, went off after filled up and put gas cap on. Could this be related, do I have a faulty oxygen sensor, or what other possibilities? Drives great, 80000 km. Thanks in advance for any input.
