    Is it not a wast of time upgrading them if you have the Bose sysytem, something to do with impedances ?

    Just bought two 24 white led strips from China, not overbright and will fit one each side and post back results.

    Hi Looking to install these fed from main interior light, i have seen the threads on the standard light bulb fiitings but would like to install leds for power reasons. I found this thread but cannot find much info and UKChris pics do not even show ? What leds, how many, where are they mounted ?? Cheers

    I put a different size resistor in anyway to make them slightly brighter. Looks better imho.

    It was unplugged, also my up/down on my mirror has never worked so just 'pushed' all the wires into the mirror unit and it now works fine. Anyone replaced these leds as they are only hot glued in and are very dim ? Cheers

    Hi Just noticed today that my passenger side door handle light is not illuminated, i find it surprising that an LED would blow. Anyone else got any experience of this ?? Anyone replaced or updated them ??? Cheers

    Little update, this is the actual stalk, hoping just to attach my OBC stick. What do you think peeps. It even has the part no. on it. Cheers

    Cheers, had advice that i can just attach my OBC arm to the other stalk with cruise. Just hope everything else will be ok as it's off a Y plate 01 car and mine is 04. I doubt there will be a problem though ?

    Hi All Been looking around for a 4 stalk and managed to find one with 3 stalks - wipers, indicators and cruise. Mine currently also has three - wipers, indicators and OBC. Is there a way of making a 4 stalk out of these and what's the easiest way ? Cheers

You will eliminate a lot of discussion and problem solving for earlier car installations. Bill Cheers, some serious reading there. Been on Boxa.net forum also and one guy on there has a facelift 986 exactly same as mine and he reckons they are the easiest to do. Richard Hamilton even helped him no end and even enabled the ecu for it !!!! .

    Hi All Been looking into this and want to try to install this on my 986 (04 plate). I already have the OBC and wondered whats involved in getting it up and running ? Is there a guide anywhere ?? I realise i need the stalk. Cheers

    Hi Bleeding my brakes and clutch and have two questions - How do i access/find the clutch bleed nipple ? Do i need to empty the brake fluid resevoir of existing fluid when using Eezibleed sysytem ?? Cheers

    Hi All I have managed to source some ATE super blue brake fluid and an Eezibleed system which uses tyre pressure to replace the fluid. http://www.pedrosgarage.com/Site%203/Bleed...6%20Clutch.html On Pedro's he has the pressure at 20 lb/sqr inch, this means nothing to me as i need PSI and can not see how he has a torque unit when he needs pressure ??? Would 15 psi be ok ? Or does anyone know the correct value even though i doubt its critical. Cheers

    Hi Looking to flush this and replace as it's not been done since car manufactured (04). In the manual it just recommends porsche fluid. Will and DOT 4 PLUS or DOT 5.1 do ? Cheers

    Hi Just had a flip through my manual and it does not show how to replace these. I have also looked for a guide but can not find one ? How do you replace them, i am UK based and have an 04 986. Cheers

    Awesome site, cheers mate. Little Update - I have just removed my first coil pack and i do not think there are any tubes fitted ? Was there a redesign 03 plate ?? I think if the coil packs sit at an angle they have tubes, if they sit 'square' horizontally and vertically then they do not. Anyone confirm this, pic below.

    Hi Got the back end of car on stands to replace the spark plugs. On the drivers side there is a fair bit of oil and it looks like it's coming from a spark plug area ? I realise these have 'tubes' fitted, would a faulty one of these be the culprit ? The reason i ask is on last service at PMD it states in additional comments - 'Bank 1 spark plug tube leaking' Which one is bank 1 and how do i remedy this ? The car is a 986 MY04. Cheers

    Hi In Uk and have the normal bulbs etc. Is there a guide for replacing these ? Do you have to remove headlights ?? Also how many can be converted all together ??? I see you say the rear sides and brake light, how is this done/made red ?? Thanks

    I replaced battery in my dead remote and now the red led flickers quickly on/off continuous as soon as the battery is inserted. Tried batt other way around etc but still the same outcome !!! It stops after about 2mins ??? The only time it stops (while on for the 2 mins) is if i keep either the boot/front switch depressed. Also once it has stopped the same 2 buttons sart it up again ??

    Just to say i sorted this ou earlier. All it was was the fuel return pipe which has a 'snap' or 'push fit' connector. This has come adrift and i just plugged it back in and car started fine with no leaks. I am now trying to source a bumper but cannot seem to find an exact replacement. Mine car is a 986 but the bumper has the diffusers/vents which are part of the bumper at the bottom (not add-ons). I cannot sem to source one with these built in. Anyone help. Based in the UK. Cheers
