  1. Thanks Rizzo!! Much appreciated... does it has the tamper proof desing (indent in the middle)?
  2. The calipers were totally off, btw why do I need those bit to remove the calipers, I simply used a socket to remove those screws to hold the caliper. Trust me I really used all my muscle to hammer the back of the rotor to make it comes out. Did I do anything wrong ? Please advise
  3. Is there a special tool or a better method to remove the brake rotors ? It took me a whole day to hammer out the front two, and I don't want to spend another day for the back two. Please help
  4. Don't ever believe the CPO things again. I bought a 04 cayenne S cpo on internet, when the car arrived, it is totally different from what the cpo report described the car. The hatch door strut doesn't support the hatch door, the microswitch on the hatch was broken, the bumper had a big patch of touched up scratch, side molding came off, I just replaced all 4 brakes and rotors (less than a yr), wipers was bad, changed the drive shaft last month and the back bumper spoiler are all scratched etc. All the above items were not covered by the cpo except the drive shaft. I called the dealer and they ignored me, I called pcna and they ignored me too. CPO is only PCNA and dealers' marketing scam, it doesn't reflect the condition of the car. The dealers found a car and it "looks" ok", then they will pay PCNA for a extended warranty and take a chance to sell it to you !
  5. How can I tell if my cayenne s has the coolant pipe replaced with the metal one ? I bought this cayenne a year ago under cpo warranty, I want to get them changed before it expired .
  6. I just bent the plastic rod a little bit so it can reach and press the microswitch. I has been ok for a year. thanks
  7. When I put the car in reverse, the parking sensor will just beep and the last two red indicator in the front and back will led up, but only the last two red not the green and yellow. What could be wrong?
  8. I bought a battery from Sunset, they said I have to add acid to it when I receive it by mail, but I thought it is maintenace free battery !? Any help will be appreciate. thanks
  9. I need help with the following code 2100 servo motor for footwell flap 1336 can comfort off 907 p0011 cam position b1 p0021 cam position b2
  10. I am looking to buy a used C4S in about 3 to 4 years old, can someone to tell is there a certain year model I should avoid? Is there a certain common problem on that particular model? Is it a reliable car? I learned my lesson, I bought a CPO 04 Cayenne S , I thought even it is so called "under warranty" , there are still alot of things not covered, so this time I think I should do a little more research. thanks
  11. My 04 CPO CS has the airbag faulty warning, I asked my stealership, they said it is not under warranty and will cause me one thousand to fix it. I am in Vancouver Canada and there is only one Porsche dealer, everyone got rip off by them. I am really not happy with PCNA, they don't stand behind their CPO warranty, when they sell the car, everything seems to be covered under warranty but then nothing is ever covered. Has anyone had this warning light go off and had it fixed by warranty or CPO? Is there a way fix the problem by myself?
  12. At what milage does it usually start to happen? I bought a used 04 CS from a Porsche dealer and it is on 5s Km now, it had a alignment problem when I first get it, then I rotated the tires and it is much straighter. Is it a sign of the vibration problem coming?
  13. I have a 04 CS, the one side of the head lights can't be switced off unlesss I start the car again and drive it, then it can be switch off like normal. It doesn't happen very often, but it is very annoying when you have to give up a nice parking space.
  14. Thankyou very much, that explained all these things that the owners handbook and the Porsche service expert can't explain !
  15. Not sure if I'm understanding your inquiry correctly but I can also only engage the low ratio and lock the diff (illuminating ONLY the top two lights on the selector) as the third, lower, light comes on once to go back to the high ratio. I didn't notice a conflicting statement in the manual but the way it's working makes sense to me because you can;t have a high and low ratio at the same time. The square light is indicate you are in "4 low mode", the top light indicate the center differential is locked, and the lower light indicate the rear differential is locked. It is clearly stated on the owner's manual. I just can't lock the rear diff.
  16. It is really weired, nobody seems to have try locking the differentil.
  17. I can put my 04 cs on "reduction" mode, then I can lock the center differential, but I can't lock the rear differential and the lowest light on the center console doesn't come on. My dealer said the rear differential can't be locked, but according to the manual, it can be locked and the third light on the center console will come on. Also according to the manual you don't need to step on the brake to switch to reduction mode, if the car is slow or stopped in neutral, but the dash warned me to step on the brake before I can swith to "reduction mode". Anyone knows it is my car failure or the handbook was printed wrong. Thanks
  18. My 04 cS start making humming noise, it will go away if I shut the ac. The dealer said is from the heat pump. Is there a DIY to fix it ? thanks
  19. I think the lock is the problem, what is the part no. ? and how can change it? Thanks
  20. If I disconnect the swith and it still happening, does that mean the problem is not the switch ? thanks
  21. My 04 CayenneS rear glass door kept poping open, so I changed the opening switch with a new one by myself as the dealer said it was caused my the micro switch but Its still happening, then I tried to solve the problem temporary by disconncecting the switch but it still trigger the warning sign and the interior lights go on. Any input is appreciat ! Thanks
  22. Thanks for the instruction, I disconnected the plug, but it still show the warning sign on the dash, after went over a bump. Any ideas ? thanks again Hi, did you insulate the plug? Does the glass open when the light comes on? No, I just unpluged them and yes, the light came on. Any input please ? thanks A good dealer would check it for you anyway. Sounds like you have a lazy dealer... From the TSB: "The affected Vehicle Identification Numbers are contained in the following VIN Ranges: Model Year 2003 & 2004, US and Canadian Vehicles WP1AB29P53LA60240 to WP1AB29P03LA60890 (M.Y. 2003) Cayenne S WP1AB29P44LA60005 to WP1AB29P54LA71031 (M.Y. 2004) Cayenne S WP1AC29P54LA90028 to WP1AC29P44LA92126 (M.Y. 2004) Cayenne Turbo" No, My vin is not in the range. I don't understand why it still got triggered even though the switch is disconnected. I changed the switch and it is still like that ! any advise ? thanks
  23. Does anyone know where the key lock moduel located ? I want to extend the antenna so I can have a better range on my remote. A diagram would be much appreciate. 04 CayenneS thanks in advance
