  1. Thanks for the instruction, I disconnected the plug, but it still show the warning sign on the dash, after went over a bump. Any ideas ? thanks again Hi, did you insulate the plug? Does the glass open when the light comes on?
  2. Just wondered what number 5. is???? Number 5 is most probably the lower control arm bushes, they loose fluid and collapse. The PCM problem is probably a communication error from MOST ring from a fault in the cd changer or the PCM needs a software upgrade.(press main and trip on the pcm at the same time and you will get the software versions). Hesitation most probably stale fuel or cracked ignition coils. Tailgate is the glass hydraulic struts. Wiper blades are probably contaminated or worn. HAs the steering ticking noise been there from new? or only just started, most probably combined with the clunk on accelerating or braking. Coolat on the floor.. coolant tubes under the inlet manifold cracked.. they will do it under warranty or goodwill, either way. There is an improved part... engine does not have to come out. Have them check the collar of the air suspension bellows (alloy part) for signs of cracking (if you have air suspension). No tranny issues unless you have something un ususal. Dont expect the car back for 2 to 3 days.. let them doe thir job... dont push them or it ends up in tears...
  3. Sorry folks, this is all BS. Rule of thumb with a warranty is that the car has to fulfil certain guidelines. One of those guidelines is that the car must be in 100% condition. IE, original as it was manufactured. This means that even if the Porsche dealer sold you the new part, the warranty on the vehicle will be affected as the cluster is not originally supposed to be in the car, it was not designed to operate with that model. One has to bear in mind the diffecrnt voltages and apage draws on an lcd screen as opposed to the normal screen. There is also the warning configuration and gauge calibration to be taken into account. None of this wil be acurate without changing the sensors aswell...The dealer however will only offer a spare part warranty on the cluster if it is purchsed from them but to order it, you need to provide them with a vin number and proof of ownership. again if the cluster is not fitted to the intended vehicle, they do not have to honor the spare part warranty. If you want to do it right and keep the warranty.... buy a turbo vehicle...

Hi, now that you have the replacement booklet, take the car and the booklet together with your proof of ownership to the dealership, they should then fill in that sticker area by hand, stamp it with the dealer stamp and also write on that page in red pen that it is a replacement book. That is provided that they are the selling delaer. If they are not, you will have to find out who the selling dealer is and take it there. Then you have to find out which dealer did the previous maintenance and ask them to stamp the relevant pages. Good luck Sorry, forgot to mention that the sticker cannot be ordered or replicated.
  5. Hi The froth in the oil filler tube is ok, its condensation which mixes with the oil mist. It only forms around the top of the tube. Only be concerned if there is oil in the coolant, check that when the cars cold. The oil consumption is recommended at about 1 litre per 1000km, check your owners manual. A quart doesnt sound too bad at all. Check the brake fluid level (front of the car), how do the brakes feel?? If the fluid is very low, I suggest to have a closer look if the residue on the car is from the brake fluid. If there is nothing wrong there, i would ask if you have been driving behind a truck for some time?? Possibly something spraying up from the vehicle in front or off the road??
  6. Hi, its possible you have an air leak, check that the oil filler cap is fitted correctly. If it is, get the dealer to check the 02 sensor values and the MAF sensor, this could also be faulty.
  7. Hi, this problem normally occurs by water entering the rear wiper cover and ultimately through a poorly sealed microswitch housing. There was a campaign and then a campaign to replace that one. If you dont use the glass that often then do the following: open the glass, remove the plastic cover around the glass side locking pin. there is a smal electrical connection in there. Unplug the connection, refit the cover and close the glass. It wont open again unless you use the remote control on the key. If you want to fix it properly, go to the dealer and purchase the latest part number microswitch. usually the part number changes when the part has been improved. from latter 05 onwards this issue was resolved. Let me know how you get on.

Pardon me , please tell me what is "Quality Improvement Workshop Campaign" , my is a cpo used car ,is it still under warranty? thanks again The "Quality Improvement Workshop Campaign" was a series of fixes that were applied to early Cayenne's. Dealers were supposed to apply these updates/fixes at the next service. Depending on your VIN and your car's options there could be up to 40 Workshop Campaign fixes that should have been applied. If you have a CPO then they should have done these before they delivered the car to you. If they did not then they owe them to you. I talked to the dealer, they said for the rear windows, the Quality Improvement Workshop Campaign only apply to 03 but not 04. any suggestion? can I fix it myself? thanks
