  1. i've owned my 05 v6 for almost 2 years and knock on wood no problems. Had a rear lid of ashtray peel and entire door panel was replaced but that was cosmetic issue only. Will need new brakes soon.
  2. Wheels were perfect. I polished lips regularly which now I'm thinking maybe they were cleared and I polished the clear off???? Went on a road trip and wheels were dirty for about 10days. Now they won't come clean. I've tried mothers polish , never dull, cleaner wax and nothing works. Any suggestions. Should I try to use a machine to polish or buff wheels? Help
  3. at first i thought the bulbs were blowing but after leaving the one in and it coming back on a day later I believe they were not actually blown. Should this be covered under warranty? thanks guys
  4. 05 Cayenne w/ standard headlamps(not HID's). Driver side turn signal went out about 6 months ago and was replaced. It then went out about a month ago and was replaced and then went out a week later. I figured I'd gotten a bad bulb so I replaced again. Then it went for about another week and blew another bulb. This time I did not replace right away. Several days later the blinker worked for 1/2 day of running around town but that afternoon it stopped working again and has remained out. This makes me think something is wrong w/ the actual headlamp assembly. Car is under warranty for about 2 more months so I'll get it checked out but any one else had this problem??
  5. I'm using clear bulbs. I like the look and they are still "amberish" compared to white headlamps.
  6. Found out parts number. They are 955-504-285-00 and 955-504-231-01 at a cost of $101 and $137 from dealer. Will check w/ Sunset. thanks
  7. Car is still under warranty but I guess they wouldn't replace since I'd had my last oil change done by a local bosch shop. Want to get this replaced though as I'm planning on keeping vehicle a while
  8. Went to dealer and was told Power Unit guard(plastic guard for engine and transmission, two pieces mounted below "power unit") was broken in a spot. Car still under warranty but I guess they didn't replace because I had gotten an oil change somewhere else once. Need part number as I still want to replace this. thanks
  9. Went in for some warranty work today and upon receiving vehicle back the paper work stated: found power unit guard,(plastic guard for engine and transmission, two pieces mounted below "power unit") is installed improperly, broken in one spot and several screws missing. some oil residue on drain plug. reinstalled panel correctly. I had last oil change performed at a local bosch dealer rather than the two hour drive to nearest dealer. guess it was a mistake. should i be concerned about replacing this part? anyone know if its an exspensive piece. dealer mentioned zip tying it together but plan on keeping this car for a while so don't want some cracked part. is the residue on drain plug a big deal? vehicle is an 05 v6. thanks for the help
  10. Nothing new but had a 79degree December day to clean the car so figured I'd post a pic. Love all the grey pepper wagons on here especially cts,tt.....
  11. Can you just remove original lamps and replace w/ these xenons? Are they plug and play or do they require changes to computer/wiring/etc? Thanks
  12. I live in Myrtle Beach, SC and the cayenne has never seen snow until this last week. Went to Gatlinburg, TN and set parking break as I was parked on hill. Next morning released parking break. You could hear it release but the warning light would not go out. Engaged and disengaged several times. finally, the light went out but at first stop light, upon restarting it came back on. Came on and went off all day. Next day it disappeared and hasn't returned. Then had to drive to Northern Ohio for a funeral and on the way pushed horn and nothing. Horn beeps when locking doors but will not make any noise when pushing steering wheel. Then in Ohio we received snow. Upon leaving hotel car was fine. It got squirrly once but immediately upon feeling pavement it jerked onto line. 22's probably not the best choice for that area but didn't expect to be going there. Then after ordering at drive thru and pulling up to window, warning light came on "PSM visit workshop". I was in Lima, Ohio probably an hour or two from any Porsche dealership so I turned car off and attempted restart. Upon attempting restart, car sputtered and didn't turn over. I then tried again and gave it a little gas. Car started and code disappeared. Returned to SC with no further problems. Car is a 2005 Cayenne V6 w/ 27,000 miles. It's still under warranty so it definitely needs a visit to the dealer. Here's pic of its first time in the snow. :drive:
  13. I know we can post pics in registry but I just thought this would make it easier to view many cayennes on one post w/o having to hunt and click on different members. Sorry, just trying to see many cayenne's easily. :renntech:
  14. I don't see any chrome, mine are actually a 22inch dark grey 5spoke w/ machined lips. Car is really clean and maybe shines like it's chrome but none on mine and I don't see chrome on the turbo either.
  15. Just thought it would be cool to see pics of everyone's Cayennes. Post pics of your Cayenne w/ mods or without. Maybe pics of it in snow or on a beach. I would just like to see how everyone's pepper wagons differ or where we take them. Hope this is the right forum and not a repeat post. Sorry if it is but I'm pretty new to Renntech. I'll start w/ a pic of mine from a few months ago and add update of a few mods as we go. Thanks everyone... :renntech:
  16. just two different angles since you said it feels up the wheel wells a little more. sorry about my sad little daily driver in the pic. no pics available w/o it in the frame. B)
