  1. Taking the battery out is likely your best option. You will be able to pop the hood to return the battery by using the "jump" pull our fuse in the driver side footwell. With a junp vehicle you can open the hood and replace the battery. Make sure you have your radio code handy as you will need it. Good Luck!
  2. Cavitt: Not sure if this will help you, as it is from a Boxster source, but here it is in case it can indeed help: This is a diagram of the power taps available behind the console, forward of the shift lever. Be sure to click on the photo to enlarge it. Regards, Maurice. Thanks Maurice - I will try that as soon as I get back to the car (currently in storage). This is exactly the type of fix I was looking for though.
  3. I believe the radio is a CDR 220 and the cable came from Becker. It plugged into the back of my head unit where a CD changer would have also plugged if I had one. The cable supplys the Ipod with power and transfers the sound back to the AUX portion of the head unit.
  4. Come on folks, hasn't anyone had this issue? There has to be some wire that I can change to get switched power, I just don't know which one it is. Any help is greatly appreciated!
  5. I have a 2001 996 Cab that I recently added the Becker Ipod cable to. The cable was reported to turn the Ipod on when I selected AUX and shut off power when I didn't have the radio on AUX. Now it charges the Ipod when connected regardless the input from the radio. How can I change this to aviod draining my car battery? Thanks, Cavitt
