  1. I have a 2004 S with 44,000 miles and also getting the brief "kazoo" sound right after a COLD start up. Never happens on repeat "hot" starts. I've read all the starter theories but has anybody nailed this down yet? I'll be heading to the dealer to pick up some odds-and-ends later this week and will run it by the Svc Advisor. From the posts, clearly another common Cayenne "issue."
  2. My 2004 S had exactly the same problem, found the exact same melt point under the center contact and I did the exact same repair except I filled the melted gap under the contact with a similar piece of thin plastic coated with super glue...also 100% fix. This is clearly a design problem Was at the dealer the other day, 2009 has same flimsy switch set-up. Guess some of the electronics never got long term testing and the flaw lives on.
