    I have a US 2005 Cayenne Turbo and have lost the adapter used to remove the factory security wheel bolts.

    10 mm triple square. Also known as a XZN. Don't try to use anything else; you will strip it. Also, service manual calls for new bolts to be installed but you can use the old bolts with a little loctite threadlocker.

    Had a similar problem. It turned out to be a diverter valve. Got it replaced under warranty and no more leaks. The OEM Bosch diverter valves are prone to leaking under pressure. If the oil leak returns, check it out before replacing the whole turbo. If out of warranty, higher quality aftermarket diverter valves are available for around $250.

    Porsche has been racking up debt in the last three years with an attempted takeover of VW. Now some of the debt is coming due.     My Cayenne does not have that system. It has the regular audio system without navigation or lcd screen. I apologize for having not mentioned that in my previous post. Any options for me? Dice requires PCM/NAV system as does NeoCar. Not sure about NAV-TV.     Had the same intermittent problem. Combination of a corroded contact and an improperly "locked" headlight assembly. When reinstalling, using the supplied tool, make sure that the shaft is rotated so that the curved part of the rod that engages the headlight is raised. Push the assembly into place as far as possible, and then crank the tool while pushing firmly on the headlight. It will make a "pop" as it locks into place.

    I'm assuming your Cayenne has a PCM (Porsche Communication Management) system. Aside from low quality FM modulators this is not a cheap upgrade. This is due to Porsche's use of the MOST (Media Oriented Systems Transport) system. This is a fiber optic data bus. http://www.mostcooperation.com/technology/...tion/index.html Only units I know that interface with the MOST bus are the NAV-TV and the Dension Gateway 500. These units replace the trunk mounted CD changer. I had a NAV-TV unit installed with an iPod adapter in my 05 Cayenne for around $750. I'm happy with the audio quality but the interface is a bit clunky and it is occasionally flaky recognizing my iPod. You lose the ability to to shuffle songs but you can select playlists. Optionally, you can keep it in manual mode and use the iPod's interface. For your Blackberry and other devices an aux jack can be installed for another $100. http://www.navtv.com/products_usa_ipod.php According to other posts on this board the Dension Gateway 500 is a bit more stable and usable. It also has an option for playing iPod video using your PCM/Nav screen.     Picked up a 2005 Turbo in January. The last 2000 miles I averaged 14.1 mpg. Not great but I suspect tire wear is going to be the big ongoing cost.

    Lots of disreputable third party warranty companies out there. Don't base the warranty you choose on price alone. Most with good reputations won't even touch Porsches, Land Rovers, etc. Also be careful of CarMax (Max Care). They don't actually sell the warranty. Instead they contract it out to various vendors which may, or may not be scams. You need to find out who, exactly, is your provider. Research consumer advocate sites and the BBB. Read the contract. It may require you to use only their providers for regular maintenance and repairs (which charge more). It may also require you to pay repair costs up front to be reimbursed later. Of course the reimbursement may never come or it could only be a fraction of your cost. There is a lot of ways they can escape payment (claims of abuse, normal wear and tear, etc).

    The Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards only applies to manufactures. After the sale, equipment requirements are determined by, typically, your state authority. For Delaware, you need to look at the Delaware Code Title 21, Chapter 43, § 4339 (a) "Front clearance lamps and those marker lamps and reflectors mounted on the front or on the side near the front of a vehicle shall display or reflect an amber color. " So as long as the light emitted is yellow your fine. At least in Delaware.
