  4. This is something smistry007 upgraded few weeks ago. Here is the link where you can retro/upgrade. http://www.evoms.com/p%20996tt%20diverter%20valves.htm hope this will answer your question?
  5. http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=104&t=8861 I had to paint my zimmerman rotor with VHT high-temp paint. Looks great now.
  6. You might want to check your local lemon law. Each state has different lemon law and I believe california has after 3rd time with same problem, you have right to ask for full refund. Goodluck.
  7. Ask Eric at BumperPlugs http://www.bumperplugs.com/
  8. I got the part number from old photos from ToolPants... and already start to reverse engineer this alignment clip. I can see where the center is and related keypoint corners. I am going to order it from sunset imports or Geoff will let me cast his alignment clip. so I can measure it and add oval shape for B&M shift. Can't wait ... :D
  9. Any one can let me use this blue, white, red, orange tool? so I can clone and re-engineer for B&M short shift? It seems to me B&M do not make one and I guess if you waited long enough.. make one by your self.. :D I have to cast one out from original factory tool and then add wide size in center for B&M spec. Any volunteers?
  10. part 12 is rod bearing and it will crack. easiest way to find out is bring your car to any local auto repair shop and have them drain your engine oil. Look inside of your oil filter if you see any metal debris.. If you have any metal particles, you know.. your engine is going bye bye. You can have porsche authorized repair shop work on this, but cost of repair is almost same as getting new engine. Porsche lowered price of boxster engine after so many problems with these engines. So they knock out $10,000 off and bring it down to $7000.
  11. It's been cover few times. Sorry for the bad news.. but it's time for new engine. http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...st=entry44208
  12. Apply Plastic Dip ($9 or less), wait for least 6 hour to dry out then put front plate again. Good luck.
  13. This is another clip from Fabspeed. http://contact.nortonelectric.com/images/F...eed_Boxster.mp4 Play from Quicktime player or from iTunes player.
  14. Probably obsessed with being obsessed... :D I am going get some parts from Performance Products in Sherman Oaks after my oil change is done in the morning. May be I can check out your setup and I will bring my video camera. I've been doing DIY to my car and help smistry007 for his 996TT Billet Diverter Valves from EVO. Also I introduce him to Danny at "Upon3Racing" in Pasadena for his future projects.
  15. Hahahaha... I am fine.. I figured you are busy with your kid and.... your other kid (996TT) Infact I took a new job in studio city OPS manager and been very busy. But weekend is for me to spend time with my little baby.... (986) Just added Valentine 1 and need oil change tomorrow. Then, install short shift from B&M and Momo knobs with boots too. I definitely want to check out your Pioneer setup. specially your AMP install... b/c I am not far behind that project. I am going pioneer all the way. ;) After that, may be H&R coil and Bilstein shocks.... pretty much endless... YES! I am also obsessed.. :P
  16. I've been using Zimmerman rotor since January. So far I have no problem and with lots of street braking.. One thing I noticed is it cools down much faster than solid rotor. Using good quality pad is also PLUS+
  17. I don't know about anyone else, but I cant get to the link for some reason.... I took it down... too much traffic to the server.. :Updates: http://contact.nortonelectric.com/images/F...eed_Boxster.mp4
  18. I can help you this weekend.. I had mine fixed last year.. so I know how.. may be you can show me about my new short shift replacement while we are working on yours.. :D
  19. I went to E3 here in L.A. Convention Center and guess what... from Pixar Studio display 996 for their upcoming new movie "Cars" I wonder if thie 996 can drive by it self... ummmmm... ;)
  20. You can find Textar pad, which is own by Pagid and I like it very much. For street use and cost is very reasonable. Currently I am using brembo/porsche which I bought from dealer just before I had trip.. just like you.. my brake warning lights came on this past April and replaced it 3 days before trip to San Francisco from L.A. I paid $150 but I am not too happy with it.. often squeaking sound and I wish I had time to look for Textar like I did before this brembo. :( I am waiting for new Textar pad which I bought from eBay anyday... :D
  21. Sounds like your left side cable is loose, check your cable and replace it (cheap)
