  1. I think the weight sensitive air bag controls started in the second model year of the 987 in 2006. I know for the 05's the dealer can install a key switch in the pass side door area, used to turn off the pass side airbags. All of the 986's from 97-04 used a dealer installed buckle that attached to the child car seat to deactivate the airbags.
  2. You might also try looking/asking on the Boxster Spec Racing board. Someone there might have a carpet set avaliable that they've removed when stripping their interior. http://boxcar-racing.com/forum/
