  1. If everything else is ok- have you tried removing your driver's side floor mat (or at least pulling it way back away from the pedals)? If mine is even just a TINY bit under the clutch, I get that same clicking and no start. I was about to have it towed in when I called my local Porsche dealership and they told me to try the floor mat first... sure enough, it worked. If you have already done this, I apologize. Just thought I would mention it. Good luck! :-)
  2. I have a 2000 Boxster and had the same problem. At first they told me they would have to remove the radio and get some numbers off the back... but, I ended up calling the local Porsche dealership (Boardwalk Porsche in Plano TX) and they walked me through it. I can't remember exactly (I should have written it down)- but I pulled over into a parking lot for about 5 minutes to follow the mechanic's instructions and then I was back on the road. Good luck!
