Thanks chaps,
It is obviously based on the Bosch KTS650, which has network capability. The old PST2 was based on the Bosch KTS500, which became obsolete about 18 months ago.
Jeff - do you know if the latest version of the PST2 software includes the 997 and new Boxster?
Thanks again

Has anyone seen the PIWIS? Is it notebook based, like the PST2?

Yes, I understand that. The post 2002 cars (both 996 and Boxster) have the fly-by-wire throttle etc. Both the Boxster S and the 996 engine I am talking about are 2003 models. I would like to think that it is simply a case of getting the DME from the 996 and plugging it into the Boxster, but I can't imagine it will be that easy. I'd really like to know if anyone has done this conversion, and can anyone recommend a company that produces a kit to do-it-yourself. The way his post read, I thought that maybe "Eurospeed" was such a supplier.

3.6L conversion start with the 2002 Boxster S.
Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean. The car is a 2003 Boxster S, and the engine is a 2003 3.6L 996. What my friend is looking for is a kit to do the conversion, particularly the electronics. If you can help, please let me know.
Thanks

Hi All
I have a friend with a '03 Boxster 3.2 S, who wants to fit a 3.6L engine from a '03 996 which he has available to him. The mechanical aspect seems fairly straightforward, but his concern is the electonics. Has anyone here done this conversion? The DME version is the same for both engines and the inputs are the same for both, but the outputs are a bit different. If anyone had some first hand experience they could share it would be much appreciated. Also, if anyone has the wiring diagrams for the DME of both engines it would be nice to see them.
Thanks

Is the LED single or double-flashing? If there is a fault with the system you will get a single beep from the alarm horn when you lock the car, and the LED will double-flash.
