  1. Every time I wash the car I get intermittent problem. As I back out it's ok, but immediately sometimes, sometimes when front is being sensed, it goes red.

With durametric it says front inside sensor fail, signal ground or open - or something like that. In Summer, wash car, it fails and after a week, back to normal. Then it failed for long time.

I thought it was loose connection so pulled f bumper, wd40 the connectors, but no difference. I bought replacement sensor but have not got around to paint them.

Then (~2 months later) it's working again. Wash car, error. put vacuum on the suspect sensor to suck out moisture, working again. It's driving me crazy. I don't want to undergo 'remove bumper replace 1 sensor, reassemble - failure - remove bumper again...' routine. (2004 TT)

  2. The Autozone/Duralast H8-DLG fits 100% as the original Varta. $133.99. It's the heaviest battery I've seen (50LB)

Don't forget to connect vent tube (L vent hole), and re-use the plug (R vent hole)

You must use 10mm triple square bit for driver seat bolt removal, do not use 10mm torx. It will strip the aluminum screw. It's tightened at very high torque due to threadlocker. Go slow.

My Varta appears to have full charge (built-in hygrometer shows green) but no more capacity. 20 minutes of stereo -> wouldn't crank. (but will crank if I don't use accessories).

Autozone has 3 year replacement / 8 year pro-rated warranty so I suggest to just replace it; it's only $134.

  3. Reconfiguring back to a stock setup by removing the MoBridge from the MOST loop would be good to try, but then you would need to reprogram via PIWIS for CDC disable. :o

I would be disconnecting main battery power for 1 minute and reconnect prior to doing anything more drastic. Hopefully this may reset your system.

This just happened to me last week.

    Issue 1

When I got the (used) Cayenne, the original owner swapped the PCM with CDR23 from somewhere. (I bet he ebay'd the PCM)

I'm told that the CDR23 stores VIN, so it didn't match car (console/dashboard computer) VIN. The tech changed the console VIN to CDR23's and stereo worked. I'm told to make sure the tech won't change console VIN back to the car's VIN on subsequent services, or stereo will stop working again. Note, they forgot to set CDChanger bit on.

    Issue 2

Installed Dension gateway, found out CDC bit is not set, so back to tech. Can't get to CDR23, apparently Dension was blocking access. I think they tried the bypass switch on/off, but can't get PIWIS to accessing CDR23. Took out Dension and tried again, CDC bit was set right away (matter of few minutes).

So I suggest to take out the Mobridge and have them enable the CDC, then put it back in. Note for Dension, the light goes from bose amp to Dension, from Dension to HU (as described in manual)
