That's correct, no speaker wires are connected to the CDR23... Sorry I don't have any pictures of the install... The wiring to the speakers are relayed to the new head unit. The CDR23 unit is concealed and plugged in underneath the dash. I left it there so nothing is left unplugged and I don't receive any error codes... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What do you mean by 'relayed to the new head unit'? The speaker cables at the CDR23 are standard copper/RCA connectors or looks something like optical fibers connected? If I understand you correctly ... there are no longer any speaker cables connected to the CDR23 head unit but only to the Alpine head unit? I also had the same problem. I live in Montreal, Canada and it seems that the problem is related to a water infiltration. My dealer said they had a new way of installing the part and sealing to avoid water infiltration

DIN2 faceplate

I put an Alpine IVA-300 DVD player in my Cayenne. The installer had to custom make a faceplate out of wood. There are no kits that have been made up to now for this truck. As far as width is concerned, the Cayenne's radio should be wider than most aftermarket radios.
