Love the looks and stance of your car. I have an 03 TT with 19x8 and 19x11 wheels also (Victor Equip Zehn). What size tires do you have and was there any clearance problems with the H&R springs?

I did a ton of research on exhaust systems for my 03 turbo. I found that Fabspeed was consistantly rated the best exhaust system for the money. If you haven't already, you should ck out their website to see and hear all their clips on the turbos.

I took my 03 996 tt that I just bought to the dealer to get some warranty work done. They scratched my rear bumper as they were pulling out of the garage. Needless to say, I'm furious. I don't trust their body shop to touch this car. Who does the best body and paint work in the MD, DC, VA area. Cost is not a factor.

I got an oil extractor last week. Took out about 1/4 - 1/3 qt of oil. The indicaor is now 1 bar below max. Hasn't smoked since. The dealer overfilled it by about 1/2 quart. Thanks for your help.

Thanks Loren - I think you're right. I took it in for an oil change last week. When I checked the level and it's at the very last bar beyond the max indicator. Is this going to cause any damage. Any simple way of draining some of the oil myself?

Is it possible to disengage the speed sensor of the spoiler? I'd like to be able to put it up and leave it up if possible. Also, any possibilities of failure if the spoiler is up all the time b/c of the shafts being exposed all the time, or any other reason?

I just bought an '03 w/ 10k miles that does a similar thing sometimes shifting from any gear to 2nd. Specially when it's cold. I've been wondering if its normal. I took it to the dealer. They told me that it's perfectly normal. Not sure how reliable this mechanic is though. -
I just bought an 03 996 tt w/ 9k miles. I noticed sometimes when I turn it on, the car blows white/blue smoke for the first 10-15 seconds. Is this normal? The dealer is telling me that it's b/c of the horizontal configuration of the pistons. Please advise. Any other corks about the 03's or 996 turbos in general I should know about? Thanks in advance!
