Is the remote reciever under the drivers seat ?

Good point so a code 54 could cause a code 60 in the system can the reciever be re programed?

Thankyou i will ck the fuse the radio works great and it appears to be factory everything else is good i have a durametic but it it has limits in this situation.My key is old but its all i have.This form has helped me with everything else thanks for all the info.

Ok final question a local part store guy thinks i can reset the airbag light by disconnecting the battery if it wasnt on before i removed the seat im hoping someone can shed some light on this cause i cant find anyone around here who has a scanner for this

Will a actron obd ii auto scanner work on the 986 to read and clear codes?

You probably tripped the system pulling the seat. Did you leave the key in or listen to the radio while working on the car? Either can trip the airbag MIL. Unfortunately, unless you own the Durametric software, you will have to take it to a dealer to get the MIL cleared.................. i open the roof to remove the seat darn it
