    speed123, I have a few questions:

    1) What type of tires do you have?

    2) How much are the cradles?

    3) Why didn't you over-inflate the tires to 58 psi like the owner's manual requires for long-term storage?

    THANKS!

Hi, it's fun to see diverse opinion...I have the regular stock tires 18 inch continental, the tire cradle are about $400.00 , I use 45psi because 50 are more is a bit too close to max limit and I monitor it once a month ...I even was close to buy those dolies..But I said No...nothing but the best for the Porsche ..there is no substitute...

ps: I use mainly my car during the weekend , i dont normally put it on the cradle during the summer, and I can feel after a 3 days sitting in the garage the car is a bit shaky for the first mile....( styrofoam board, carpet, cardboard, rubbermat, i tried all that ...it does'nt work...

    cheers to everyone

  2. Hi,

Just to share my experience with those tire cradles (the original ones)

--they worked perfectly on my boxster s...After a 6 month sleep in my garage with all tires set at 45 psi all winter long.....No flat spot at all during my first road test...Not even a bit of whell shimmy...Nothing.....

    Regards

  3. Thanks for the response everyone. I still haven't figured out what's causing my problem.

Jenno's post confirms that it's not a simple resistor problem. =(

I tested all the relay, and they all work fine. For anyone out there who needs to test their radiator fan relay, it's the same relay type as the horn. (position 10). I just swapped the relay from the fan to the horn and honked the horn (I'm sure my neighbors loved that). If it's broken, the horn will not work.

    Back to my quest.

When I had the resistor problem the fan would not come on with A/c or high temperature.  The easiest way to access it is to loosen or remove the wheel-arch liner.

TO ALL BOXSTER 2001 PRO OUT THERE, SIMPLE QUESTION ??

WHEN DO THE RADIATORS FANS COMES ON WHEN THE A/C IS SWITCHED OFF AND ENGINE IS RUNNING??

  4. There must be some region-specific coding in the instrument display, to account for the difference between UK/US gallons.  Even my '98 996 is user-switchable between Metric/Imperial - not just on the OBC, but the digital speedo as well.  However, you have to connect the PST2 to change the temperature display on the aircon.

yeah..that's what I thought... All those temperature can be modified to metric or imperial.. :clapping:

If someone out there knows the procedure .. kindly send me a message...

  5. Hi,

I have imported to canada a 2001 boxster S (USA model) and I want to activate the OBC for the temp,

But i would prefer to see the temperature in Celsius and fuel prediction in liters

can anyone write me the step by step procedure for the PST2..I doubt that my dealer knows how to do it.

Presently I have set the digital display to : speed in KM/h and distance in KM by using the clock button..

    thanks
