enabling obc to metric

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have imported to canada a 2001 boxster S (USA model) and I want to activate the OBC for the temp,

But i would prefer to see the temperature in Celsius and fuel prediction in liters

can anyone write me the step by step procedure for the PST2..I doubt that my dealer knows how to do it.

Presently I have set the digital display to : speed in KM/h and distance in KM by using the clock button..

thanks

The only way I know on your year is to buy a metric/Canadian instrument cluster. We have tried to change the OBC displays from metric to US and from US to metric with a PST2 on 2 cars with no luck.

What is interesting is a UK cluster, a hybrid. The analog speed gauge is in miles, but their OBC displays are metric.

Actually Toolpants, in the UK we can switch between metric and imperial units. miles to KM, degrees f to degrees C etc

 cheers

There must be some region-specific coding in the instrument display, to account for the difference between UK/US gallons. Even my '98 996 is user-switchable between Metric/Imperial - not just on the OBC, but the digital speedo as well. However, you have to connect the PST2 to change the temperature display on the aircon.

yeah..that's what I thought... All those temperature can be modified to metric or imperial.. :clapping:

If someone out there knows the procedure .. kindly send me a message...
