  1. love it... black rims can go, but other than that i love the Flat Black look.
  2. i just had to do this 2 days ago (1999 C2 Cab) what i did was... with the front end jacked-up, there are 3 holes bettween the bumper and body look straight up and you will see the cable (shile steel cable) you will be able to us a coat hanger snake it up and pull down. the hood might not pop up but you will hear a click, push down on the hood lightly and it will pop up. it took me 5 min to get it sorted out good luck, and i hope you have the openings under your bumper Jerid
  3. Thank you to Renntech I just to thank everyone at Renntech, the members and the administrators. I had list a problem i was faced with (27 Dec 09), with in 3min I had me first PM email giving me advice and pointers, over the evening I had numerous emails on how to attack the problem at hand. So today with a hand full of emails I went back at my car and with-in a hour I had my car up and running. I just wanted to use this opportunity to express my thanks to everyone, with-out you all I would not have know what to do except bring my car to the dealership. Thanks again and Happy New Year to all Jerid
  4. thank you for the info and links... this is a great place for porsche lovers
  5. Thanks for the quick reply... I have noticed your name on alot of post's and it's great to see all the support. Like i said before this is my first porsche and i'm learning new things all the time just read on the site alone, i don't even check out others any more. I have done the search for my problem but it doens't say to much about 996 is it possible to link the correct add. in this forum? I am very new to Blogs, forums...ect, so it takes me a little time to get a hang of all this... thanks again it's greatly appreciated Jerid
  6. I have read a few forums on how to get to my trunk when the battery is dead...well i took out the battery and closed the hood ( i know i'm a idiot). I have a 1999 C2 Cab. 1. I have heard and read about jumping the hood release using the fuse box, what i have found on the net it doesn't have a pic off a 1999, 996. Will this work for my car? 2. All tools are in the trunk so i can not take off the front tire, so do i have another option (like take off the cover to the manual lever's inside the cab)? once again this is my first post and my first porsche. I just got back from Afghanistan and i want/ need to bring home my baby. Thanks for the help Jerid
