  1. Found one at my dealer... I'll go back in a few days once they've cleaned it up to get a better picture.
  2. Thanks guys... Anyone happen to see a white 997 with the red lenses.?. I think I still like the grey lines in my taillights, ties together with the grey side marker lights... Well with Atlas Grey anyway...
  3. There are 2 pages of advice and stories here... http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=13358 I just apply 100% braking from highway speeds and it should quiet down...
  4. Mine just started too... A 2005 C2S with 20,000km. I did a few abs engaging hard stops and now it's gone. It took a few times, and not at slow speeds, like 100 km/h (62 mph) to 0 FAST. Now my wheels are really dirty, but my brakes are silent.
  5. You can also take a look at this topic... http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...&hl=spacers There are some before and after pics. ...I mainly put them on to keep the same clearances with fatter tires. They also bring the wheels to the edge of the fender pretty nicely.
  6. ...I had someone in a 996 Turbo race me late one night. After it was all done, thumbs ups were exchanged.
  7. If the car interior is warm, the air will be directed to the dash vents, if it's cold, the foot vents. There will be a noise when it makes that transition. It'll still do it if the AC is off or do you mean when the climate control is off?
  8. I do it all the time... It happens in every car or truck I've driven. I think it's just the noise the power steering makes when it hits a lot of resistance... It would make the same noise if your wheel was against a curb and you tried to turn.
  9. ...could be the climate control changing the air flow to the vents. Especially if there was a temperature difference in the car since you last drove it.
  10. 1stporsche - Check the manual, but if I remember correctly it says at 24,000km (15,000 miles) or once a year, whatever comes 1st. My 2005 C2S burnt a quart within the first three months but hasn't used enough for a top up since. But then I only drive it 9,000km (5,600 miles) a year...
  11. ...no wife and my girlfriend doesn't drive manual.!. Dodged a bullet there! :clapping:
  12. I had something similar happen with my 05 C2S... The dealer corrected it, there is a service bulletin that they're aware of...
  13. I've had 7 nails in 2 summers... And I've had BMW patch them every time (since my Porsche dealer wont), no high speed blowouts yet... I doubt I or anyone else could push the car hard enough on public roads to cause the patch to fail. The only time I didn't repair was when the puncture was near the sidewall... That was the last one and it cost me 2 305/30/19s.!. Now I have an extra with 40% wear.
