  1. congrats on your new ride. looks great in silver with the turbo twists.
  2. two holes i may be able to "overlook" four makes me insane. thank you both for your replies. i was looking at suncoast porsche online and they sell an original porsche equipment aerokit front end for around 1300 USD. I assume this is good quality. Phillip, i read the info regarding the necessity for a rear spoiler. not a fan of the look, and i figure at 7 or 8/ tenths i should be okay. not to mention, even my 64 year old mother commented on how much the front end seemed to push when i turned into costco a little too hot. dont see the picture of the CF lip you are referring to. toby of course, as soon as i post the picture appears. looks great. hmmmm
  3. currently own an '07 c2s. love the car. when i purchased her, she was sadly laden with a front license plate. In retrospect, i should have demanded the dealer remove the plate and re-spray the bumper. I, however, did not realize there were going to be not 2 holes, but FOUR, and crudely screwed in. anyhow, to make a long story short, i have 2 choices. have it patched and repainted, or "upgrade" to the aerokit front bumper. I prefer the more aggressive look of the aerokit front end, but am somewhat hesitant as i dont want to jeopardize top dollar upon my trade-in for the next chapter; a gt3 or turbo. obviosuoly would keep the original front end to be included in the sale. if it is only the cost of the aerokit and paint that i would "lose", then i am all for it. just dont know how minor mods like this affect the overall value of a p-car. thanks in advance for any insight. have i told you how much i love this car.
  4. lloyds mats are great. also can buy another OEm set from Suncoast Porsche who usually has them on sale.
  5. jimmy, make sure you buy the clear side markers from Suncoast. 29 bucks USD for the pair. simple install. laughable what a dealership will charge you. honestly, its 5 minutes of labor.
  6. i vote for the sport design. stay oem. also, since you liked the "gun-metal" color, have you thought of having the sport designs painted? i have an arctic silver 911, and painted my sport design wheels seal grey. i think it looks great, is different, but still classic porsche
  7. I had a similar question as i wanted to remove my bumperettes. one great suggestion was to have them color matched so they stand out far less. i much prefer the euro version bumper. toby
  8. hello all, as i waxed the car this evening, i was wondering if anyone in North America has removed what i have heard referred to as the bumper "warts" on the rear of the car (surrounding the license plate). Toby
  9. Hello all, First of all, can someone please advise me on how to use the search function more effectively? There has to be threads on this topic, but when i perform a search, I get results that are, for the most part, unrelated. I am looking to put new rubber on my '07 911 s. it currently has p zero rosso's, and the rears only have 5k miles. For whatever reason, they constantly feel out of balance. My take on it is that as these high performance tires wear (even at 50% tread), they become noisy and "out of balance". There is plenty of tread left, but I am so displeased with the ride that I am willing to pay 2k for fresh rubber. Thoughts on brand? i think i would sacrifice a little "at the limit" grip for a tire that was a bit quieter and didnt feel like it needed balanced every couple k. Toby
  10. Mark, just curious, what pressures do you run? i believe my door jamb recommends 37 f, 43 r. toby
  11. i own an '07 997s (which i love more ever time i driver her). with the recent cold spell in s fla, i have been paying close attention to tire pressures. it seems the TPMS indicates 3 lbs. less than a high-quality pressure gauge. im sure this has been discussed; apologize in advance if so. but this leads me to my next question. i utilize the search function on this site but it seems the results are unrelated to the search i perform.
  12. yes, they are 19'' sport design wheels. i have the same on my c2s, painted seal grey. car is arctic silver.
  13. i own an 07 c2s and have sport design wheels in seal grey, while the car itself is arctic silver. i think it looks great, but then again, it's mine ;-) i tend to agree with most of the other posts; it works on silver/grey or black cars, but not much else.
  14. From what I have heard, yes, its a safety feature. guess they figure your kid's arm or chihuahua's head is safer if you have to actually hold the switch till halfway. what about utilizing technology similar to garage doors that will reverse the direction if a certain load is applied to the window in question.
  15. beautiful car Kirk. i am envious. i wonder if the 2007 997 is my garage is jealous of my envy
