Thanks i decided to stay with original size w/c is 295/30/18
Hi to All. I was wondering if i can change the rear tire size from 295/30/18 to 285/35/18 and keep the front stock as 225/40/18? Would it possibly effect PSM getting activated in turns in road?
I looked under the car to inspect the lugs. they are all there but the whole slave is loose. I have no choice but to tow it to shop that I can trust. if any body knows one in LA or Orange county, I will appreciate your sharing with me .
Thank you so much for your response. I will inspect it again if the lugs are broken I would need to take it to shop , Do you know of any reasonable shop in southern California that I can use? I have strong feeling the last guy in dealer that work on my clutch did not tied the lug well enough
Hi, I have 04 996 turbo: I was driving few days ago, going about 20 miles when suddenly I hear a noise like asnap and then my clutch when to the floor. I pull the clutch up manually then I notice the clutch is very very hard. I push it down hard once and it stayed down again. I was able to start the car but I can not engage into any gear. I had the car towed home inspect any fluid leak, non. I inspected the front clutch reservoir, no overflow. but what I noticed today that my slave cylinder is very loose. you can move it freely up and down feels like some thinking broke. Can it be the fork? or is the throw out bearing. or can it be the slave got disengage from fork and should be place back . is it something that I can do beside clutch and transmission removal. I would highly appreciate any advice, or suggestion.
One thing that i learn from this spoiler isue is if your system is not leaking oil ,the failure alert sign is due to micro switches, i play with both switches by adjusting their gap, Increasing or decreasing the gaps in the switches has direct effect in the warning light and spoiler fuction.i did this several time until system start to operate corectly and failure light is gone. I order the switches thru a comany call ECStunig and i will replace both if my switches fail.I wanted to share this with you.
I think i fixed it yet not sure i test drive and wing operate correctly ,and light did not come on, what i did, remove both micro switches and so slightly open their contact with a ortho plier,i was thinking may be when i press them in their places their contact were press, light if off i am afraid to place the cap back because it may mobe the wires and switches.left the cap out for now, i may have to replace the switches. does any one know where you can get the best price for them.
By disconnecting the battrey would it clear the code OR I would need a scanner?because when you start the car there is no spoiler light ,only when you reach 75mils light comes on you can see spoiler comes up all the way and when you stop is goes down all the way.when you turn off the car and turn in on again no warning light seen, until you drive and reach 75mils again.
Hello every one, I have a 05 996 turbos. just wanted to know why my rear spoiler light malfuctioned is on. when I test drive the car three times. it looks like the wing is fuctioning properly. when i reached 75miles it popped up,when i slow down it goes down. i tried it 3 times, and check the rear for its function and everythings all right. but light is still on, i wonder if it is the micro switches that are going bad? or is it something to do with the speedometer isue? anybody has any idea? I remove the system and check for leacks,NO leacks on any rams or the unit. Thank you.ALI
I change plugs w/o coil in about 4 to 5000 miles ago, and recently i changed the two buttom boost hoses to silicone type with fastening clamp which probably not the best quality. I did not finish replacing the rest of hoses on top. I am not sure if those new hoses are leaking. how do i check for leaks?
