Nav, Radio, Bluetooth

I have a 2003 TT, just installed a Kenwood DNX7140 with Garmin Nav.; Bluetooth; XM and rear camera. You most likely have a Bose system with the MOST System, if so you will not be able to tie into your Bose System with any aftermarket radio due to the fiber optic feature. You will have to use a Double Din Kit, this kit will give your radio a factory installed look and will allow you to move your heating and air control pannel. You can find this kit on Ebay for your model for around $179.00, the auction will also show you a picture of what the install will look like. You will no longer be able to use your existing Bose Amp, a new amp must be purchased, you can tie into your new headunit witout an amp but I'm afraid that you may lose sound quality. You will also will lose the ability to use your CD changer, I had the new amp installed where ithe changer use to be. You will be able to use your current speakers they should tie into your new system without a problem. A five channel amp is recommended, four channels for the speakers and one channel for you subs. I love the sound quality and the modern updates, I would suggest keeping and not selling your old system, Porsche buyers are a little funny about non-Porsche updates, so make sure you tell your installer to save everything so you can convert back if need be. Here is a list of what I bought. Kenwood DNX7140:$1149.00, Kenwood XM Minni Tuner: $123.00, Kenwood Rear Camera:$148.00, Double Din install kit:$179.00, a Alpine 5 channel Amp: $410.00 Install: $710.00 (BESTBUY) Total Cost: $2719.00 I purchased everything off of EBAY. Good luck ! And Yes I would do it all over again.
