  1. Recently my clutch pedal started making a squeaking sound on my 996 03 C4S. the sound is very evident when the car is switched off as you press and depress the clutch. i initially thought it was the clutch pedal spring, but when i took it to the dealership, they said it's the slave cylinder so i had that replaced. 2 days ago i get the same sound again!! it sounds exactly like a spring being stretched, any ideas on how to fix this irritating sound? Thanks!! :renntech:
  2. Quality is superb on mine, best hassle free option for a cheap price... let us know what you opt for in the end.
  3. Took My 2003 C4S for a full wash at a local gas station here in the UAE... the station manager said that they do not wash Porsche engines... i asked for an explaination why and whether they had problems with other porsches before, he said he doesn't know, that's just the policy... is it ok to wash the engine using a water jet spray or water might enter somewhere and might damage some parts or cables...
  4. I simply suggest an iTrip... no cables, no fuss, u can listen to ur iPod without paying big bucks and changing anything... p.s: congrats on ur new C4S... i'm a proud new owner too, same color as urs... cheers
  5. Loren thanks so much for the info. I live in the UAE, i know that miles away from the states, but your forum is the most comprehensive one I've seen, no wonder when it has people like you. if you know anyone or any dealer in this area i'd appreciate it, otherwise will try and download the software. Much appreciated
  6. :welcome: You will need to get the fault code(s) read - without them everything is a guess. what software you recommend i purchase? price idea?
  7. I own an 03 996 C4S also, i'm getting the "Check engine - Drive to workshop" error occasionally when reaching High Revs (6-7 K) on fourth gear and 5th gear. this error has occurred only twice in the past 4 months, and when i restart the car the error is gone. could this be the same case? should i go thru the same procedures mentioned above? Many Thanks
