  1. I recently got my first Porsche 2003 C2 Cab. It came with the stock 5-star Carrera wheels with 225/40/18 on the front and 285/30/18 on the back. The dealer I bought it from put 15mm spacers on all 4 wheels and they are nice and flush with the body. However, being a nut about big tires I would like to put 295/30/18 on the same rim on the back and 245 on the front (my MB SL had a 285 on a 9.5" rim so I figured that a 295 should fit on a 10"). I am a rather conservative driver so looks is more important then performance. I searched the forum for anything about tires and spaces and found several references from Loren about putting 245 on the front. So here are my questions: 1) Could I put the 295/30/18 on my current 10" rim? I would/should probably change the spacers on the back to a 7mm after the tire is about 5mm wider on each side. I don't want it to stick out of the fender. 2) What 245 would I need on the front? Would that be a 245/35/18? Based on Loren's comments they should fit on my 8" rim. But what about the spacers on the front? I assume I would have to either remove my 15mm spacer altogether or change it to a 7mm or even a 5mm? Thanks for your comments and feedback. Gerd
  2. Hi Js, I saw those rims at an e-bay action http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...&category=66485 offered by a Porsche dealer. I contacted them about the wheels and they confirmed that they would work on narrow body without any problems (and definitely no rubbing). I agree they are very attractive but they also seem to be rather expensive. Gerd
  3. Hi Raymond, did you put the 235/315 on your narrow body cab? And the rears did not rub at all? I had no idea that there was that much space. I saw an e-bay auction for a combination of 235/305/19 for the narrow body and contacted the seller (a Porsche dealer). They confirmed that that combination will work without any problems on the narrow body. However, after reading your comment above I would be interested in getting the 315 instead. I also read your other post regarding the 295/30/18 on the rear. Did you put the 235/40/18 on the front as well or jus the rear ones? I have the same 5-star Carrera factory rims. I have not made up my mind what size I ultimately would want to put on my car but sure would like those big ones. I agree with your statement that our cabs are not the fastest but I also would go for the looks first. Thanks for your reply. Gerd
