  1. My 84 euro 928s idles fine in park and neutral, but in drive the car backfires from the mass-air flow sensor area in low rpm range. I changed my coils and spark plugs, but still the same. I will be changing the distibutor cap and rotor but can't seem to locate the right one. I have the twin distibutor cap, but don't know the part number so I can order two. If any info on both subjects would be greatly appreciated. It's driving me up the wall.
  2. Try 6856 or 6854 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST Those two codes # did not work, if I can't get it to work then I'll just replace it. Will the radio just start working once the codes have been entered. The car is a 1999 Boxster 2.5 US, LHD 5spd Silver with dark blue interior, not sure if that helps. THANKS
  3. When I had my clutch replaced at a shop that specializes in german autos, I got it back and the driveshaft to the driverside rear popped off the transmission. The dumb mechanic forgot to torque the bolts to the tranny. I took it back and had it repaired. About 2 months later I decided to have the rear lifted and check to see if any damage was done to the tranny. I put it in 1st gear and both wheels spinned, so I took hold of the driver side rear tire the one that the shaft had popped off and it stopped rotating and the passenger rear tire started spinning faster. I can change the the spinning direction of the driverside once I have a hold of it. I also notice that the tire treads on the passenger rear are wearing out more than the driver. I had all 4 wheels aligned. My question is, is that normal in these cars and does both wheels spin when accelleratey?
  4. I have 1999, Boxster. Would you be able to get me the code for it. I bought the car used and never heard the radio on in it. I had to get a new battery when I got the car. Becker CDR 220, Model BE 4462, serial#X5020315. I would be very thankfull. :D
