  1. I bet it has to do with where the starter is located and crap leaks on it and its corrosion at the pos and neg terminals and if we can just get to them and clean em up it would be fine. Can you imagine the stealership saying, "the starter terminals needed cleaning, just give me an hour labor", I can here them laughing here to Germany!:renntech:
  2. No, ONE battery under the seat, rear has factory Bose subwoofer, not the battery. PLEASE ANYONE? It's over a year later, stealership said it was the battery and I put a new battery in and did the same thing so I put the old battery back. There must be others with this issue. Another detail is that if it doesnt start on the first two attempts, you have to turn the key completely to the left and then to the right to get it to crank again and 90% of the time it will start after that key turn to the left then right.
  3. Cranks for a second, not long enough to turn over, then quits, try 2 or 4 more times fires right up!
  4. I have an '04 Cayenne S 64k miles, battery is new, no aftermarkets, it takes sometimes 4 tries to start the car, yet sometimes it will start on the first try. Starts to turn and quits or sometimes doesnt spark at all. Yes the brake is depressed. What can I try before the stealership, it sounds like a relay is bad maybe. Any clues would be greatly appreciated. I'm mechanically inclined so not afraid to get dirty if I have to.....
  5. I did want to mention sometimes after 15 minutes or so the passenger side begins to work normally. Once it works, it works the rest of that ride, but each time I get back in, I never know if the passenger side is going to blow cold in the winter or HOT in the summer even when the AC is on full blast. Also I have the digital thermostat controls in the back console as well and yes right rear is off like passengers. I'm pretty mechanically inclined, so if anyone knows a DIY please let me know. Thanks!
  6. I have a 2004 Cayenne S, when I put the heat on I have heat on the drivers side and cold air on the passenger side. It does not matter what I set the passsenger side to, ie, HI heat recirculate, it blows cold, so I just turn it off. I recall I get the reverse effect in the summer, Ice cold for the drivers side when I want it cold, but still hot on the passengers. Anyone have any clues as to what this could be before I spend my lifes savings at the stealership?
