  1. Ok I looked a little closer today. The hose itself is about 6 or 8 inches (shaped kinda like an S). Its in the back right side of the car, about a foot from the back bumper. It does come off a hard pipe. When I stick my head under the back right side of the car, its the only black rubber hose I see. Everything else is metal.
  2. I have a small coolant leake from one of my hoses (99 c2). I have found which hose and have looked at the hose diagram (kinda confusing diagram and hard for me to even tell which side is the back of the car). I also spoke with Jeff Clark who sent me the diagram but unless I can give him a hose or part #, its hard for him to figure out which hose I need. The best way for me to describ it is this: The leake is below the engin. When I crawl under the car, the are two black rubber hoses exposed (one behind the passagner seat and one behind the driver seat). They are actully more like un

I told him I didn't need a print out or anything just him telling me over the phone if these items were in the history of the car and I got the same response. Is this correct? Do I actually have to track down the first owner from 1999 to be able to figure out what all has been done to my car?
  4. So I may just need a new silver button and not a whole new assembly. Any suggestions on where I could order one? should I check with the local dealership?
  5. Just wanted to say hi. Purchased my first 911 last month. 1999 911 C2 62K. I've loved every minute of it. The only thing that bothers me about the car is the cassette player. It makes the car feel older and less exotic. However it does have the cd changer, so I can still listen to my music. I have two question and would appreciate any advice: 1. If I can find a used cd head unit from another 966, is the wiring the same so that I could just remove my cassette player and install the factory cd unit (assuming that I would also get the code from the seller) 2. My second issue is with the
